Here’s a great opportunity to own one of the best 456 GTs in Southern California, in my opinion.

The car has been meticulously maintained and enthusiast owned. It's in great condition and has had money spent on it, no object.

Upon owning several two seater sports cars and enjoying them, I started to feel the need for a car to enjoy with my growing family. While discussing this with my good friend and business associate Craig Calder from Fast Cars Ltd in Redondo Beach, CA. He made me aware of a local Ferrari 456 available.

Upon discussing the car with him and he advising me that the car was mechanically perfect and currently being maintained by him (30K miles major service carried out at 22K miles including belts), I really had no hesitation at all on purchasing the vehicle site unseen and from a few photographs as it fitted all my needs.
Nero Black, tan interior, and most important of all, the 6 speed gated shifter. For me, that’s a must have in a Ferrari.

Upon taking delivery of the car, I was very pleased with the car overall but certain aspects of the vehicle did detract from my personal taste and reflect the previous keeper’s taste.
Being, in the restoration business I look at cars in a very different way and soon I started seeing the flaws in the paint.
At that point, I decided I would carry out a cosmetic restoration.
I knew the car was mechanically perfect and had been meticulously maintained by Fast Cars and had even had the transmission rebuilt and the modification, (problematic to the 456).

The endemic 456 window problem is non-existent in this car as it has been professionally repaired at Fast Cars Ltd in Redondo Beach, California.

We started by removing the front bumper bar to remove the clear bra that had shrunk and gone yellow over time, this was the only part of the car that needed repairing and completely repainting, due to rock chips and some very slight parking scratches.
At the same time we disassembled the exterior parts, mirror heads, badges, Scuderia fender metal shields, etc… to carry out a full paint correction service.

On having done that I was still not 100% happy with the paint finish.

The California sun can take its toll on black cars. Luckily, the car had been fitted with a very dark window tint, not to my taste but that has really protected and maintained the interior.
There’s not shrinking or discoloration of leather on the seats or door panels. And the Ferrari logo is still very prominent and visible in the head rests.

We decided we would restore and fix the rock chips and scuff marks from the waste line down, we carried out minor spot repairs and blended the black base coat and re-clear the complete car minus the roof, the trunk lid and the rear bumper.

Light clusters and plastic fittings have all been polished and restored also. No hazy or fogging on any of the lights or plastics.

This is not a repaint, it’s a re-clear. My workshop professionally carries out this service to many Ferraris.

Nothing on the car has been over restored, we’ve just rejuvenated it and returned it back to its factory specs and how it would have been in 1995.

As you can imagine, the new clear coat was color sanded back to match factory finish and blends in perfectly with the original paint.

At the same time, we also fixed, the corrosion problem with the mirrors and polished and refitted those.

At the time of reassembly, all the badges were hand polished. I decided not to refit the Ferrari Scuderia fender metal shields as I feel the car really doesn’t need them. The car is an elegant, beautiful Grand Tourer and doesn’t need to scream Ferrari for me. They’re with the car and I can refit them if desired.
We also left the window tint off the vehicle as I felt, it detracted from the car’s appearance.

The bumper grill was disassembled and re-polished along with a new under bumper shield. Unfortunately, mine had gone missing over the years.

After the complete polish and reassembly, we turned our attention to the wheels. We restored and repainted the complete wheels inside and out to match factory Ferrari silver, color sanded and polished those also. Sourced new genuine Ferrari center caps so as you can imagine now the car is back to new if not better standard as when it left the factory.

It really is an enthusiast and collectors car now.

None of the work carried out has been done to a production standard as we are a restoration shop and have had multiple Pebble Beach winning paint jobs on the collaboration builds with Fast Cars.

As you’ll see from my purchase date to date, the mileage I’ve covered has been 21 miles.
The 456 is now to my standards and taste but due to an ongoing sickness I entered into 10 month ago and family commitments has left me with no time to enjoy the car, any of my cars for that fact hence the reason for me to sell this car.

Basically, we carried out the cosmetic restoration and the car has been sat in one of my buildings with the rest of my personal collection.
I just don’t have the time to enjoy them.
In fact, I’ve decided to sell the collection.
I am not a dealer just an enthusiast that has a restoration business and a car collection.
All, the cars are in my name and registered to me with the current, clean title available.

As you will read and I hope you agree, I’ve been as honest and as sincere as anyone or any enthusiast could be.

I’m quite happy to show photos of work carried out and in no way trying to hide what work has been carried out. After many years of being in the business and doing many pre purchase inspections for overseas buyers I have had to walk away from many incorrectly advertised cars. Being sold as original paint, never being touched, etc… This is not one of them as you see.

The 456GT 6 speed manual Ferraris are extremely rare and highly desirable collector cars only going up in value. Truly one of a kind!!!

It features the very rare 6 speed transmission and sounds great due to the addition of a Tubi exhaust.

    VIN # = ZFFSP44A8S0102830
    MILEAGE = 22,278 miles
    DATE OF MANUFACTURE = 1995

Factory options and factory features include:
    17” Ferrari sport wheels
    6-Speed manual shift gated transmission
    Premium sound package

Modern Ferrari V-12s with a gated shifter are becoming hard to find, especially under $100K.* The 456 GT was the Ferrari flagship in 1995 and is sure to become a collectible classic, if its not already. In September 2014, the editors of AutoBlog voted the 456 GT, The best Ferrari from the 1990s through today!*

1995 was the last year before the Federally-mandated OBDII system.

Some say the 1995s 2.7 Bosch ECU is a better compromise than the Motronic 5.2 that followed, having less monitors that can cause spurious error signals.*

It also lacks the problematic immobilizer, traction control, FCS and other improvements of the later models.*
The Ferrari 456 GT combines the performance of a 5,474cc 12 cylinder Ferrari sports car with the comfort of a GT car thanks to a 442hp dry-dumped V-12 and an easy to shift 6-speed transaxle.
The ride is enhanced by speed sensitive steering an a three position adjustable suspension giving true Ferrari GT performance with comfortable Grand Touring for four.

Original MSRP back in 1995 was approx. $230K.

This 456 comes with service records, complete leather-cased, suede-trayed tool kit, leather-cased owners, radio and maintenance manuals.

Chris - I am one of those brokers you contacted for an estimate on your car with the request that you wanted to sell it. I am sure I speak for the others when I say next time please do your own homework and do not waste our time. We provide a service, as do you, and don't appreciate your wasting our time and then posting about it online like it is something to be proud of. It is not.

Wow, how unprofessional. Imagine a store clerk chasing a customer out of a store and harassing them for not making a purchase after being provided assistance. It's part of the job. Get over yourself.

This guy owes you nothing. He has every right, legally and ethically, to get a quote from you then decide to go a different route.

Holy crap! I clicked on his profile and "all posts" and it is terrifyingly funny. Average post length is ~2 words. "Nice", "sweet" and "cool" dominate. For a good laugh, I suggest you all do the same :)
