Regarding the info above: "Iran - 30" is definitely not correct, it's way less or even 0. I don't know where that info came from.
Maseratis are allowed to be legally registered and sold, but Ferraris are not.

Are the 28 Ferraris brand new cars sold in Russia or Ukraine?

Over what period have they been sold - January to May / June 2016?

While that information is very correct, I still don't believe the cars you mentioned are registered or imported for Iran.
I follow a few channels regarding "cool" cars in Iran (since I am Iranian myself and I was raised there) and it's amazing how every single special car that hits the Iranian soil, whether it is at port, storage, dealer or on streets, pictures are instantly up on Telegram channels and everybody knows about them.
Recently a Bugatti Veyron and two 1500 bhp drag Nissan GTRs entered the Bandar Abbas port in Persian Gulf, as usual pictures went up the same day or few days after, and it was reported that the cars were heading to Russia via transportation in Iran.
I am yet to come across any pictures of an FF, or F12. I know one or two registered 458 in the capital, and one or maybe two Cali on temporary registration, which means they should head back to where they came from (usually Dubai). A RR Wraith has entered the country just last week on temp plates, but still no F12 or FF.
    Hope this info helps.

Perhaps like Saudi Arabia and UAE various cars are imported duty free / reduced duty, then temporary registered and exported to neighbouring Countries.

For the year 2015, Foreign Cars imported into Iran totalled 32 762.

Both Countries neighbour more well-off economies, thus cross border trade pulls up their weaker economies.

I didn't read the entire thread, so I don't know if this information was posted before, but I can tell you there were around 11,800 Ferrari in Japan in 2015 (including Dino).

I believe those are first time registrations but it still makes me wonder. His last post lists about 7011 or so cars, near Ferrari's total annual production yet it is a 9 month period. Also at least in the USA many new cars are operated on dealer plates and not registered. Not likely a set of definitive numbers but a general picture. Proportion wise not unexpected.
