Hi Bob, I'm aware of the sad circumstances of the owners death and certainly no disrespect intended. I'm merely commenting on the condition of the car. It needs a fuel tank, complete service and engine go through and is not California compliant. I had heard it was not running but can't confirm this. It had cosmetic issues , some but not all of which are in pictures attached.
Attached are pics of the green car just auctioned . Sorry to distract from John's car posted for sale here which is pristine. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I have some more pics but you get the general idea. Anyway, sorry to hijack the original sales thread. The car that is the subject of this thread and for sale, has no issues that I'm aware of and is reflective of its ultra low mileage .
Thank you for chiming in! Love to see others comment on the market and present facts! I am surprised how much the Auctions America car brought! It had fairly high miles for a XJ220 example, needed what looked like... everything mechanical and between paint and interior could be $70-100k. Further illustrates how popular these cars have gotten. There is a massive Miami based collector who may be purchasing the car. It would join a LaFerrari, 599GTO, 918 Spyder, Carrera GT, 550 Barchetta... to name a few! I think duPont Registry has a big write up featured over the weekend, in the meantime got a ton of interest and a few offers. Best, John
This car was truly ahead of its time. V6 TT with 500+hp...and styling that would look current with a few subtle differences if it were to be released today. Good luck with the sale.
Still Available. Asking $548,000.00. Contact us for details or further inspection at [email protected]
And considering the market this should be a million dollar vehicle in 7 or 8 years so this would be a great investment.
This has to be one of the nicest examples of a Jag XJ220 left. Immaculate car, best of luck with the sale!
This car looks like a 360 and f40 gave birth to a supermodel! Seriously a gorgeous Machine! Wish I was in that marketplace. GLWS!
Agreed this is a million dollar collector car in the making. Even if you think you are buying ahead of the market, how could you go wrong?
Priced today at $518,000.00. Arguably the nicest example and best provenance XJ220 in the country, if not the world.
Price reduction? With the LB being so low, you could send the car to England a get a great deal on the service.
