This other car, which looks considerably rougher than the silver one, is being listed at $5K less than that one... But, I think we could all agree it will easily cost twice as much as that to make it appear in similar shape as the other one, if not more! Again, there is no chassis number provided and this one is an automatic as well.

Over the years, a way to describe neglected and/or deferred maintenance is to do a play on words like BHCC did with this listing in mentioning "Excellent original car" - buyer beware x100!!!

Turn signals are screwy, 2 different types of front turn signals, bodywork, etc. - but since the listing says its a great investment, then it will be!

There are some earlier threads. Don't know what has happened to it over the last few years.

It does appear that this car is on some sort of life support with an IV bag connected under the hood.

There is a 400 for sale on Craig's list; it is in New York; the guy is a veterinarian so we had that in common and he starts to tell me about the 400 he is selling and then mentions this white car that he sold to Beverly Hills; said when he got it he was so disappointed it needed so much that he put it away for years...he says it does not even run.....anyway he has a gorgeous car for sale that he told me verbally he wanted $60K but emailed me and said $50K....Doc

It may still be on Craig's List, in Syosset , New York I think it was which is where that high end retail car dealer is; I think it's Exotics Classics but his car is NOT there but he did tell me a "dealer" that he knows well wants to buy the car back but they were too far apart. I want to say it was Pete at Forza up maybe in Conn, does that sound right? Think that's who sold him thecar originally, because he kept telling me to call him to verify how nice the car was then....doc

    wow, what a mess.
Looks to me like that one has been wet, very wet.
It's sad to see them end up this way. Maybe some dreamer will save it.

Wow.......a bit rough. And, since I already have an '85 white w/black int, this # 55143 would be a parts car, simply because I don't have 75k in my pocket to get this thing to a driver condition....not even show car shape.
Sad, really....a barn find without the barn !

I think I saw that car at Pete's maybe 10 yrs ago. Looked like a good car, but I was looking at a cheap Maserati
