here are the promissed pics from our trip to italy and the Mille Miglia last week.
I'll post more when I have time and as I go through the 1.600 pictures I made during the week :D

on monday we went to Bardolino as I knew that the guys from the Pfeff Event would arrive there. just after we parked our cars and walked to the city center we saw a nice Aventador and a Novitec 458 Spider at a gas station.

Quick question - How did you manage around Italy's famous "We hate you" zones (ZTL in Italian)? I have a trip coming up in June and we were planing on driving around Italy but the hundreds of websites warning about Italy's intense attitude against traveling tourists has us a bit worried. Did you have any problems with it? We are going to Milan, Maranello, Venice, Florence, Tuscany area, Rome and possibly Naples. In Como I will be picking up a yellow 458 to cruise through the mountains in for 1 day but the rest of the time we were planning on driving around in a family SUV we have rented. Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks
    George

Don't be paranoid. You are googling too much.
I have been travelling to Italy every two or three weeks for the past 50 years and never ever had the slightest problem. I drove Ferraris and mundane road cars, all sorts. Zero problem whatsoever. Forget Venice and cars (take a Riva!). Florence, Rome, Tuscany, Maranello and Como no problems.
    Stay away from Naples anyway.

I've never heard of that. this was only my second trip to Italy, but we didn't experience any problems so far. we drove everywere, parked at normal places and just took care that we didn't leave any valuables visible in the car.
I've visited many small cities around Lago di Garda, Verona, Brescia, Modena and Maranello so far. I would trust Marcel, he has a lot of experience and knows what he's talking about.

great trip btw, please post some pics afterwards :)

on tuesday I had booked a factory tour at Pagani in San Cesario Sul Panaro. I visited Pagani already last year in september with my wife and decided to do it this time again as it was realy interesting. we started at the old location with the showroom and carbon manufacturing. on display was a Zonda "La nonna" and a Huayra. if I got it right, the Zonda has only "almost one km on the clock"...

in the production room were the autoclaves are located we also spotted a black Zonda F and a blue Porsche 918. behin some moveable walls was a Huayra. we couldn't see if it was a normal one or a BC. Mr. Pagani himself was around with a client and the time in the production area was a lot shorter compared to my last visit.

after visiting the showroom we went to the new location which will be openend in July as we were told. a nice carbon red Huayra with light blue "fin" and lines (desitanation probalby China or HK) was on display together with a carbon blue Zonda. a Zonda R and F were in the service area and other Huayras in the assembly spots. unfortunately no BC was there...would have loved to see how the cars looks like as I just got a glimpse of a prototype at my last visit.
