Just curious what did not pass muster on the one you had the PPI done on? A LOT of Ford GT's got wrecked, so many that Ford ran 3 more runs of the center tub, and for a while Ford was offering a free driver's school, to anyone that owned a Ford GT. The company closed out most, if not all GT parts years ago, some of the parts now cost in the range of Ferrari parts! I remember reading in one of the car magazines, when the Ford GT's were still being sold, the life expectancy before they got wrecked was less than a month (this was in regard to the "Walter Mitty's" that were driving them, like they were Dan Gurney in his GT-40, on the Mulsanne straight, at LeMans! The people that bought the GT's, new, and mothballed them, no problems( course no fun either, missing the experience of driving such a great car).
Thanks, fits criteria in theory, but checked into this one.... going to pass (believe it was also a "No Sale" at Mecum and only bid to $230K)... Hoping to find an f-chatter who has one they are read to pass along.
Representative called me after putting in an hour and said he didn't want to spend any more of my $... earned my respect in doing so. He documented a number of issues which included repair paint work. Car was not as represented. PPI is $ well spent
Personally I would call Shelby at Elite Autos. I have no affiliation. I have done business with him on a few occasions pertaining to GTs, and I know several other FordGTForum folks who have, all quite happily
