Hi guys, I live in Uruguay and got my first ferrari, extremely happy with my testarossa 85. It has 23k miles on it and has spent most of the last 5 years in a garage. I want to do a good service on it. I surfed and I know that I need to change the belts and find that the clutch is not at working very well. Gas lines have failed as well and I had to drain it because it has been sitting without much care.
I think the tyres are over 10 years old.
There are no dealers in Uruguay so I need to buy everything anywhere in the world.
So I wanted to say thank you for having me here and ask advice in where to buy everything for my service, tyres and any other advice is very welcome. I may need to buy some window glass channels.
    Thanks again!
    Richard

Fyi in October there is an incontro official ferrari approved event in Uruguay.

welcome here richard and thank you for filling out your profile

if you ever would have problems with your TR don´t hesitate to post those problems here. you will get much help from other members. so much you will never get from other forums and even not from the official F dealer.

for parts you may look here:

Ferrari, Lamborghini, Maserati Parts - Ricambi America, Inc.

    and here

Order Ferrari, Lamborghini & Maserati Parts | Order Online Eurospares

eurospares mostly is cheaper but the transport to uruguay would be higher. so check exactly

and have fun with the car

Also Superformance UK which in many case are cheaper. Tyres are metric and only available from Longstone tyres in UK (or Coker in the US)and are expensive.

On a 85 when taking the engine out I would check for the chain driving the pump I know there was an issue with the early cars.
If you plan on driving it regularly I would also SERIOUSLY consider the differential case upgrade. Other than a belt break I think this is the worst that can happen on these cars.(possible catastrophic damages $$$$$)

    Have fun and enjoy it!

Congrats and welcome. Trutlands also has a lot of stuff as well. They have some new old stock. If your doing the clutch plan on the thro bearings as well. It's insurance and your new clutch should last a long time if you drive her properly. They are the easiest car to drive clutch wise.

Congrats and Welcome. There is so much knowledge here it's unbelievable. I just completed Engine out service in my 86 Testarossa, including Diff upgrade, with the help of many members on this forum. (I never heard of Diff Backlash, Pre-load until I joined this forum). So if you do have any problems whatsoever, just ask.
