Just wondering whats the going rate for a nice original low miles 575 UK spec manual at the moment? Chatting to a friend of my mums yesterday and it turns out he sold one about 4 years ago having only owned it for a year or so, and really struggled to shift it back then, and was over the moon to get £43k for it. From what I understand the manual version of the 575 has gone from being the lame duck to the must have in the short space of time since he sold it, so what would he have sold it for if placed on the market today? any ideas? I think he is kicking himself a bit at the moment that he did not hang onto it!
Current discussion: http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/456-550-575-sponsored-bradan/506479-next-month-octane-why-575-suddenly-demand.html As noted there in the UK if a 575 sticks for whatever reason it is really hard to shift so some cars stay unsold for months and months
Check out this link of a recent sale of a 575 manual at RM this month. They have gone into orbit. Achieved £327,000 GBP. 2002 Ferrari 575M Maranello | Amelia Island 2016 | RM Sotheby's
Its the very low miles with that one, coupled with the rarity that attracts the collectors, I don't see such a premium for a 20 to 20K miles manual example.
I know of a RHD one with well over 45k miles that sold for £145k not too long ago, any manual 575 will fetch a serious premium.
Wow. He bought it for £45k towards the end of the last recession on a whim from another friend and panicked somewhat a year or so later when he had trouble offloading it. The previous owner had paid well over £100k for the car, so a £2k loss was nothing really in the end, but missing out on a £100k windfall is a bit of a kick in the crotch now!
