Waving the flag to an empty track...a sad indictment of f1. If it ain't broke don't fix it

Made q1 more interesting but that's it

    OK awesome. Sleep ruined.

Had higher hopes for Ferrari. Doubt they overcome 9 tenths for race pace.

Now it's my turn to be defeatist

Just turned down my cousin to watch Singapore race live. F1 is long dead. Now it's just an empty track.

Crikey, could qualifying get any more boring? What a farce.....

Same old rubbish as last year for the order too, looks like we can call time of death on this championship already for Ferrari after that, far too big a gap to sensibly assume we will get that back. Five wins at odd races is my prediction for the year, it's up to rosberg to make this in the slightest bit interesting for the year, let's see if Wolff and Lauda let him have a proper tilt at the title for a change

I am so disappointed, I almost fell asleep during Q1 and Q2, and we knew before it kicked off that only at most four cars might do two runs, in the end, just two bother. What a shambles

Ferrari never went out again - Kimi not allowed to try beat Vettel?

I'm sure Bernie is going nuts right now.

    Hopefully, "tweaks" coming soon.

    Cheers,

Toto on air saying new format is rubbish

I noticed that. Qual wasn't even over yet, and Vettel was out of his jumpsuit and in jeans.

Was Kimi in jeans, eating ice cream and drinking vodka??

I've got a radical suggestion. Let's junk this quali system (the work of a true genius) and replace it with last year's system that worked and was great to watch! As I said, controversial eh?

Kimi needed at least 4 minutes to get out, run warm up, then finish his flying lap. He had no time unless he did a race day type pit with no telemetry review. The moment he went into the garage he was toast.

    How to fix F1

    Get rid of Kers
Let teams run V10's or V12's
Eliminate all pit radio communication that doesn't relate to safety
    Ban all wind tunnels
Let the cars run and drivers drive

    Pretty simple, isn't it?

You what is really sad? The post qualifying interview was more exciting than the last 5 minutes of qualifying

I don't think Ferrari would ever be happy to let Kimi have a pop at vettel like that, there's no point in the team changing places fourth to third at the expense of the mental strength of your recognised number one driver. If kimi was a couple places behind, they might have done it to get them both on the second row, and vettel wouldn't be affected in a negative way.

It would just have wasted a set of tyres, more wear on the engines and components, to beat your own team to third - pointless

It's easier than that... Limit amount of fuel cars can use for the race and let them find the best solution.

Actually I disagree. That would turn it into a fuel savings race where the slowest guy to finish wins.
