"Brazil" by Declan McKenna.
Not sure if you saw me post this cover of Love, Hate, Love a while back, but so damn good. Gives me chills at the 4:45 mark. Let me know what you think. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AcD6CLRLLJE[/ame]
That was excellent, guys got some pipes! He gave zero ****s, and I love it. AIC just takes me to a different place, I remember when and where I was in 2002 when he was found.
I'm listening to Velvet Revolver at the beach with my headphones smoking a Fuente Maduro. Life is very good. Trippy sh** Ken , I like it.
Stray Bullet by Springsteen. Haunting song, a classic he kept in a vault for 35 years cause it wasn't in the spirit of the album. Amazing.
Wrong! That is not a good song that is one Mother Trucking GREAT song! How about this classic... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xTeI65yrhGw
[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H__WO75qKZs[/ame] With all the respect that is due to Al Green, this here....this is it.
Kirk, I introduced my best friends here to a Fuente Maduro last week (from your stock We enjoyed them immensely, then rocked out all night to "Comedown" "Little Things" "Sound of Winter" and "Swallowed" by Bush. I think I'm reverting through some weird nostalgic 90's trip lately, I can't stop with the hard rock and grunge, it's just so ****ing good.
Thanks! +++ Al Green story . . . I was doing the 100-hour/week food industry thing for a few moths in a catering hall. I crawled in on a Sunday morning and sort of made my way to the first shift's ballroom. We were catering a three-course lunch for the celebration of a church's anniversary. I was in a stupor when the affair got going but managed to put up that stupid food industry grin lifers would show even if confronted by a terrorist wearing a hefty vest. Just as I was noticing that the teens that made up the band had some serious chops, the waitstaff were pulled off the floor. The reverend that started this particular parish was introduced and, BAM!, Al Green walked in singing, Let's Stay Together. There's the talented, there's the seriously gifted, and then there are the few that can make us think that anything is possible. Green was such a talent that morning -- and those kids when Green started to sing . . . man!
Now that's a wedding! Cool story. Having lived in Memphis, The Reverend was a local legend. My favorite is his cover of this Bee Gees classic...T http://youtu.be/UgAFcvIw8J4
I just sent you an email lol. And yes, late April, can't wait. I gave Iraq the middle finger when I left on the C-130, and I plan on doing the same here, probably be listening to "Creeping Death" and "Bonedriven" Never coming back here, **** it
Missed this. Good. Not Al Green good, but that's the old timer in me talking. Wiki says that Ms. Joseph recorded her version at roughly same time as Reverend Green, also in Memphis. Cool post. Thanks...T
