Hello All, I am sadly having to say farewell to my amazing California T. The good news is, I'm going to still have one of these beautiful machines. The bad news is, one at a time is my limit. That being said, this one has to go. It was built with the following: Yellow calipers Horse stitched on headrest Sport Exhaust pipes Carbon Fiber Steering wheel and LEDs Scuderia Shields Diamond Pattern Seats Diamond Pattern Back seats inn.electrocr.mirror + Homelink Aluminum Driver and Passenger footrest 20" Black Painted Rims Red Tach Colored red stitching Below I have attached some photos for your viewing pleasure. The car has 4500 miles on it. I have enjoyed it, but never raced it and have cared for it lovingly. I will take the best offer over 200K. I am located in Los Angeles and whoever takes it will have to arrange to pick it up. Thanks!!! By Chance did you buy this car from Ferrari of Los Angeles Was it a cancelled order from someone else.. Just curious as a close friend in Malibu ordered what appears to be same spec car.. was delivered last August And had a fallout with FOLA Stunning build.. GLWS
Thanks! In terms of your friend, All I can tell you is that I ordered it from Ferrari of South Bay and it was done to my specs. The car was delivered in March of last year, so I think we're talking about two different Cals.
I believe he's asking the sticker price of the car when new, not the meaning of the acronym "msrp" Gorgeous Spec. Glws! Best.
HEY ALL DECIDED TO TAKE IT OFF THE MARKET AND JUST DRIVE THE HELL OUT OF IT. I WAS GOING TO GET A GATED 575 OR 430, BUT I REFUSE TO CAPITULATE TO THE COMPLETE GREED AND LUNACY THAT IS GOING ON OUT THERE WITH THESE CARS. I'M SORRY, BUT THERE'S NO WAY A 6 SPEED 575 IS WORTH 450K BECAUSE SOMEONE AT AN AUCTION LAST YEAR PAID 650 FOR A 599 6 SPEED. ANY WAY...OFF THE MARKET. THANKS FOR THE KIND WORDS!
Why call it greed and lunacy? It is supply and demand, the basis of capitalism which you must somehow understand or at least agree with to even be in the position to own a Ferrari...
Having a finance/economics degree, I absolutely understand supply and demand. That doesn't mean I have to participate in it. In truth, the real culprit in all this is the new entry to the market who purchases a California T for the sole reason of getting on the list for a 488, then dumps his California back into the market, flooding it and creating a massive SUPPLY. I get the fact that guys are going to try to get their money. I just believe that this gated 6 speed thing is much more complicated than people believe it is. And those who do not understand it will unfortuntely lose in the end.
Yet you have to admit that this frothy market is exploiting naive buyers who are going for flips or "investments."
Absolutely agree. The train left the station two years ago IMO. If you try to collect these cars today with the idea of keeping them for a couple of months and then "flipping" them, you're going to lose your money. There are so many dealers out there now who are absolutely gauging customers on these air cooled Porsches and gated F cars. IMO the only way to collect these days is to buy what you love, enjoy it, then after 5 or 6 or 10 years, sell it and you'll probably make money if you bought a decent car. Agree?
Enjoy the Cali. If you want the 6 Speed manual experience a 456M GT is a reasonably priced way in. I was surprised how good they are.
Yes. I had wanted a driver 550. That's not in the cards for now, at least not until they come back down to the low $70s. I am just waiting for another crash for that, and for a house. Houses here are at least 20% overvalued again, by my reckoning.
Congrats on keeping it Beautiful build and great look. Agree on the missed the boat - I was going to buy one or all of the mentioned cars buy never seem to get around to it - now not able. But I'll keep my gated 430. Too much fun not to. Love your Cali T. ScottS
Hey all, sorry for the whiplash, but I'm putting the car back on the market. I ordered a new F12 and would like to pass this Cali on to somone before it arrives. I will take anything over 195K. PM me if you are interested. Thanks!!!
The car now has 4899 miles on it and I am selling for 195K. Still selling it. It is NOT off the market.
Thank you for the kind words, sir. The new F 12 is a virtual clone of this one. I don't know what it is about black with red stitching?
