Hi On my Cali T - turbo performance and efficiency are good but only show 1.9 lbs of boost @3000RPM's and 4.9 @ max RPMs. Car runs great w no codes but not as fast as turbo should be. I think the waste gates are not closing. Is there a way to check with a scanner and adjust gate response ? Help! This car has a salvage title but everything was restored by dealer but FNA voided my warranty and maintenance agreement . Help! Thanks james

Can someone tell me on the Cali T how many pounds of boost do you see on the middle dash gauge during normal operation? Also if you rev it in neutral do you see boost on the lbs gauge Tks james

why not turn the car in at the Ferrari dealer and have them check it out for you?

If the dealer fixed it, and it was customer pay, they should stand behind their work.

By the way, I think the boost peak is 18.9 psi

Yep I know the max boost is supposed to be 18.9. I have been very dis- appointed in the dealer and won't go back. I will be taking it to a Ferrari specialist next week. Thanks james

FYI, additional thoughts from the Tech section http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/technical-q-sponsored-algar-ferrari/512384-no-boost-cali-t.html

Peak boost is 1.3bar/18.9psi. The software (based on Mannettino setting, how you are driving it, etc) modulates how the engine builds and holds boost.

Generally speaking you won't see peak boost if revving in neutral; the engine is unloaded and will rev freely without requesting boost, though it may spike up a bit. (typical on turbos)

The question I asked in the other thread is if the car was sold by an authorized dealer or independent, and was it sold "as-is"....as a flood salvage likely so, unless OP paid for the repairs as paid service and has the service/parts "warranty". Unclear if this is related to the flood damage/repair.....turbos not making boost is a common issue, most often due to electrical/sensor issues or a loose hose....

Yep , you are right I bought it "as is" at an auction expecting to spend quite a bit in restoration. I did take it to an authorized dealer who did quite a bit of the work. I used to have my own shop and did primarily European restorations although I never did an F car before. thanks for you input again james

Hooray hooray my Roso water dog was resesitated today to a new life - the guys at Moore Speed in Austin discovered that the boost valve solenoids were not closing the waste gates and letting all my boost out. They installed new ones and wow! - I thought she was fast before! - now it's like piloting a rocket! Finally everything works as new! I have put almost 3000 miles on her and so far I am delighted with her- thanks for all your ideas and help James
