Bonhams is currently live streaming and RM will start in 3 hours. Some strong results at Bonhams, others soft, picky market. Cover lot, the Fiat 8V will be up in next 30 minutes and will be a good sign of the strength of the market.
A 1971 Daytona coupe, with about 9,000 miles, just sold for $1,050,000 plus 10% premium (Lot #62) in the Bonhams auction.
Daytona sells for $1.155m at Bonhams Bonhams : 1971 FERRARI 365 GTB/4 DAYTONA BERLINETTA Chassis no. 14219 Engine no. B942
You are right Bira. Very interesting, I am live streaming and I am certain he said selling @ $1.7 either the auctioneer or I am confused, will know within next week.......
Bonhams Scottsdale would appear to be dying, watch for the tumbleweeds, auctioneer has said some of us have homes to get to at least twice. RM just starting.
Right on the RM homepage, under "Watch Live". Here's the direct link - Arizona 2016 | Classic Car Auctions | RM Sotheby's

Seems like that market is seeing a return to sanity for sure. Was surprised the Black Daytona didn't find more bids. I would have taken it home. >8^) ER
No side markers, Euro front indicators and no dinoplex's in place in the pictures. Market wants perfect cars to attract big money. Cars actually selling at soft (or perhaps realistic) prices seems to me to be a good thing for the market long term. From your listing looks like RM's sell through rate will be pretty high (if lower than previous years). Bonhams seemed to not too badly in getting cars away either even if prices were not stellar.
I was planning on going to the Auctions, but I blew my budget on the 250 in December, now I wish I would have kept my powder dry and gone. There seems to be some realistic prices this time
You got something you wanted and are happy with it. Crystal ball gazing has risks, could have gone the other way too. Jeff
Not sure if it was obvious on the video feed, but the car had larger fender flares than stock which were made from FIBERGLASS!
Indeed it was not - I don't see it mentioned in their description either. Remind me to bring you along when I'm feeling impulsive. >8^) ER
