    Hi John

We would love to see these slides. You once supplied me with photos of A black RHD Daytone Spyder and a red one and a red coupe (latter two owned by the Mason Styrrons) taken when the cars were new at a Ferrari Owners Club Meeting.

I too have many I can scan though not quite so far back. I may start with rows and rows of unregistered RHD Testarossa at Maranello Concessionaires, as the late 1980s is when my photo collection started.

    Happy scanning!

    Robert

    Willie Carson collecting his Ferrari.
He took me out when I was young in my first trip in a Ferrari and it may have even been this one! He was dating the Colonel's daughter around that time so had a good selection of cars to choose from.
    Taken from an FOC mag.

    Hi Robert

I'll get on thec case over the next few weeks!

If you still have the Daytona pictures, please feel free to copy on this thread. I have mislaid the scans.

I smiled about the row of Testarossas. In the early 70s Ronnie owned F English (JCB) Ltd in Farnbough, Hampshire. The name gives you a clue to their main business (!) but in 1974, at the time of the first fuel crisis, the yard was full of new, unregistered 308 GT4s. These were well away from the eyes of the few prospective buyers at that time.

    Thanks Robert.

These are Kodachrome 2 slides taken in about 1975. Unfortunately, the colours have not reproduced too well but hopefully some others in my files are a bit better!

Thanks for these great photos both of you.
I only had a black and white photo of the black Spyder.
This car seems to have vanished!

Has anyone actually seen it in the last 30 years?
I have not heard of anyone that has and I have asked quite a lot of people!

    John,
You didn't by any chance take a better photo of the blue 365 GT4 2+2 parked next to the Daytonas? The 400 series - 365 GT4 2+2, 400/400i and 412 is of particular interest to me, especially in RHD.

Testarossa - my first ride in a Ferrari, at the Benson & Hedges Concours, Stratford upon Avon, autumn 1989. The Testarossa (a LHD) had recently been sourced from Germany to avoid the long queues in the UK. The owner had an E-Type in the concours if I remember correctly. I was his first charity ride and he was eager to show off!

Dino - Northern Alfa Day, Nostell Prior, July 1990.

Mondial - Bedford, behind the cinema in St. Peters Street, c. 1989.

I can't help with any serial numbers but checking with the DVLA the Mondial has been untaxed since 1 December 1995.

Unfortunately not David. This was the first FOC concours I attended (near Goodwood) and I did not arrive until mid afternoon. I was then very busy snapping before people started to depart. I do recall that what is now Nick Mason's GTO (#3757) was there in 100pt condition.

I certainly have some 2+2 photos in my collection and will dig these out is due course.

Here's some pics from the Ferrari Owners Club Brocket Hall concours, 1989 I think.
