Not yet confirmed but the strong rumor is Paul Allan bought it.

A good auction from RM, certainly showed the market is healthy and is pricing at respectable levels that aren't ridiculous while discounting anything that isn't top notch.

    Not true.

    He likes Hendrix, not Joplin.

It appears the 500 Mondial did not sell.

Lesson is Janis Joplin recreated painting is ( proportionally) more valuable than Ferrari original paint...

Just saw the 290MM on an enclosed truck in NJ- the trucks were shifting cars at an industrial park where I happened to be for my daughter's dance class. I saw the car since the gate was open, but it was under a cover in the truck... Had I been there 5 mins prior maybe I could have seen the car. Didn't want to bother the truck driver too much beyond asking what he had on the truck. The truck just left- she's safely on the road to the next owner!

It was funny- I dropped my daughter off and the lady asked if I saw the red Ferrari out front- I said I saw the two trucks with a gate opened but didn't notice the car- then of course I ran out to try to figure out what it was (any Ferrari would have been interesting to me :) ). Where is Blenheim- another auction house? What state are they located in?

Blenheim, Ontario. Just being a wiseguy, no idea where the car might be headed. I would have freaked-out had I seen the 290MM in a parking lot in NJ. Serendipity!

Glad to see I might not be alone seeing shadows amongst all the glitz and glitter. :)

I think the truck was on its way to Ohio, but who knows if that was its final destination...

Columbus or Cincinnati would make sense.
