The car is being restored in California. I can buy a new one with a defogger grid, but my car was not originally equipped as such. Thanks, please send private message if you want.
My '77 GT4 has a plain rear window but the switch and all the wiring is there. I thought that all US cars were spec'd with a rear window defroster and my window had been replaced at some point with a locally sourced non-Ferrari part. Could I be mistaken? BTW my car has a sunroof, one would think that a rw defroster would be fitted before a high $ sunroof option.
If you have the console switch I would think it was originally there. Pilkington is who is making the Ferrari historic glass now. Just call your local auto glass installer and order.....um, better make it at least two. The front windshields are notorious for having to fit three, or more, before you find one that lays in..the back glass I have not heard as many problems. But you DO have to actively deform it, so it's best to have a "glass guy" do that as they know 'just how much" to get away with!
