    You got a bargain there.

I haven't seen anyone ski behind one before though! :)

    Polished parts look cool!

PS your wallet will be much lighter by the time this car is driving, but it will be worth it.

Yup-it's not uncommon for folks to ski behind these-but you rarely see barefoot

Good looking ride you picked up there-I got pretty close on one that needed some work yrs ago but ended up getting my 308 gt4. I've wanted one of these since I saw rainman as a kid

You need online support from us?

Looking at your really supportive friend who's standing behind, arms crossed watching you struggle to drag one heavy ***** of a car up a slope on your own I'd say you need us to come round and give you way more than online help !!

Great looking car, love the colour (if you see the pic of mine attached there's no points for guessing why!).

Welcome to our happy band of outcast misfits - all 365/400/412 lovers welcome.

Nice ride! Not sure if it's just shadows on the pic, but is it a sun/moon roof car?

Looks like Blu Chiaro... I'm obviously biased, but I believe blues suit these cars perfectly!

Welcome and looking forward to learning more details on it.

    Cheers!

Looking at the scene it makes me think very quickly.
    A. If you were a garage and I was delivering, I wouldn't be so much bothered about the pink boxer shorts clad car dragger lunatic but more the loafing non helper in the shadows! He looks very suspect.
    B. its your hoose you can dae whit ye want in it.

Thanks for the support and encouragement.

The car is indeed 21185 (David from Stockholm, how did you pick that?)

It does have a clutch and a bunch of Webers.

It does have a steel sunroof, very neatly done & reputedly by the factory.

As for the water skiers, one is my younger son and it looks like the other son would make a great supervisor.

Not sure but colour looks like Blu Chiaro.

I found the car at a swap meet two years ago and just purchased a couple of weeks ago.

Well there are only about 23 RHD 400 carb 5 speeds, and only a handful in Australia, so I made an educated guess.

Congrats on owning such a rare and interesting car. It has been under the radar for over 20 years.

Sunroofs were normally fitted in the UK by the importer prior to customer delivery (I have this info from period price lists showing options).

It also looks like Blu Chiaro to me.

    Right you lucky lucky fellow.
Got you now, its the kids playing around with 'your' new toy!!!
It is extremely rare if it is a 400GT RHD ? Please spend lots of time driving it, money and preserve it as its simply a fantastic car.
    Cheers
    Alastair

David is correct on the sunroof point - Maranello Concessionaires worked with one or two trusted local suppliers to deliver this option to customers once the car was in the UK.

The colour looks like it may still be in its original hue, which was Blu Ribot. Original interior was Sabbia (the light beige, Connolly Vaumol 3234).

I just saw this thread and that comment about the skiing was my first thought as well! Very funny!

    Good luck with the project!

PS Just noticed the 2015 date of the OP. Any update on how this car has come along in the past year?
