He was there all day! Rare for me to be home but of course when I am I did spot you on Highway 50 yesterday noon ish time frame.
News had a young man from Toronto Marco M. Who was involved in a multicar accident. They had pics of him in a Ferrari. Is he a member here?
https://www.facebook.com/placido911/posts/746053155524300 Found this on FB about an abandoned BMW dealership near TO. Anyone know about this?
Hey Bernardo. Yes I know this place well as I used to go by it every day on my way to the GO station. Here's the post I put up on Facebook: The dealership in question is on Royal Windsor Drive west of Winston Churchill and east of Ford Dr. on the north side. It was not sold for 32 million. The asking price was initially 3.2 million and went unsold for years. Not so long ago the property was bought and a uses car dealership opened there. I believe it is called Clarkson Fine Cars. By the way I was interested in the white 635CSI in those old pics. It sat in the showroom for years so I figured 'why not'. I remember the car vividly. It had 9000km on it and was a stock 635 but the M6 suspension. Odd. What was nuts was the dealer wanted $51,000. This was in a time when a clean one could be found for less than half that all day long. Nice car though. Sent from my SGH-I337M using Tapatalk
Bernie here is my thread from Dec of 2011 on this place...http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/canada/350343-abandoned-bmw-dealership.html Albeit the links to Endra's now are down since it was sold to Clarkson Fine Cars. A buddy had dropped by and found the shop door open one summers evening and a European man working on an M5. He was not open to a conversation and told Mitch to leave. That was it. Chris
Andy from Clarkson Fine Cars is a magician. They may sell the odd used car, but they're actually a German car specialty shop. My family has been going to them for years, since they were at their old location on Clarkson Road in Lorne Park. He can be a bit gruff (like your average mad scientist) if you catch him on the wrong day, but his work is like nothing else and speaks for itself.
First spot of 2016 - was at Yonge and Sheppard for lunch, as I was about to leave. Was still pretty clean looking considering ... Image Unavailable, Please Login
Road Warrior Contest The second annual FCA Canada East Road Warrior Contest is now open. This award goes to the club member who drives their Ferrari, or Ferraris, the most kilometers (or miles converted) between now and the end of the 2016 driving season. Last years winner was Angelo Paletta with 10,504 kms driven. ----------------------------------------------------- OK so what model Ferrari does Mr. Paletta drive ??
Angelo used 2 different cars to accomplish his feat. 2015 also was year one for a new region-wide contest to see who in our region really does drive their Ferrari(s) the most. This years inaugural winner of the Road Warrior contest is Angelo P......., who between his 458 Spider and his 458 Speciale drove an amazing total of 10504 kms. Lets see who can challenge Angelo in 2016 for the title of Road Warrior!
I suggest a change be made to this contest: the car must not be new and under factory warranty. Like a 308 or a 355 or maybe even a Queen Mother lol! Chris
I was tempted last week during March break myself - good thing I waited Hopefully the reports are worse than what we get.
I did 7025 km in the Spyder alone. And 3479 km in the Speciale. I had no idea how the total mileage was to be computed. In any event every km driven was a blast in both cars with great people, events and locations along the way. Winning the award was very much appreciated and the cherry on top. Look forward to doing it again this year. Probably not as much this year as the other girls (cars) are feeling neglected! Hehe
Spring was here this morning , not sure what happened to it the last hour...... Image Unavailable, Please Login
