I sold mine back in early 2010. It disappeared from UK records for 5 years. It has reappeared Ferrari Mondial quatrovalvole | eBay Bought at Brightwells auctioneers for about £24k. Coincidentally after I P/X'd the car that dealer auctioned it at Brightwells at which point it vanished. No more than 300 miles later....
Finally found the information about our first Mondial, a metallic black, ivory leather 1987 3.2 Coupe. Serial ZFFWD21B000068523 Sold it in June 1989 at the Poulain auction in Paris after having ordered our current t.
This is 068523 in 2014 during the Tour de France (pictures not mine, fond . The first owner was Didier Calmels, owner (for 2 seasons) of the Camels Larousse F1 team. In early 1989 Calmels killed his first wife, mother of his four children, a crime of passion argued his lawyer. I was the second owner. At that time the license plate number was 150 HBB 75. A quarter of a century later she looks to be in great shape. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

ZFFFD32AXK0081342 correct? Earlier Ferraris are identified by their serial numbers. However, later and current cars rely on the total VIN. That way the car can be properly identified (i.e. decoded). For example, the one of 43 U.S. Mondial t Coupes: ZFF = Italy/Ferrari F = 348 tb/s, Mondial t (F119D040, US version, 1989-1990, Motronic 2.5) D = 3-point inertia belts with auto retractors for front plus 3-point inertia belts for rear 32 = Mondial t Coupé A = Left-Hand Drive, North America X = Check Digit K = 1989 Model Year Congratulation to you as the current caretaker of the first US Mondial t Coupe (according to the records I've seen). BTW, any photos to add? I've only seen a dealer pic. . Image Unavailable, Please Login
That is correct Wade. Thank you for the vin verification. As I understand it, I'm the fourth owner with the car having been originally delivered to NY or NJ. I'll post more pictures after we get done with bring her back to her previous glory.

Tijn, those are CD number plates (corps diplomatic)....so not the old French but recent normal CD plates. Used by foreign Ambassys in France. Guido
It was a "knipoog" (Not sure how to translate that.. 'link'?) to the old days. The old days didn't had the last Gen Minis Still like the old pre-EU. black ones
You can still put black plates like in the pic on your car if it is 35 years old. Since you are issued just a plate number by the french prefecture, not a plate itself as in the US, you have to order your own plates. They are sold in garages or hardware stores or shoe repair/key shops or on line. You can order in the newer EU white background with blue and black letters, the yellow with black or the black with white as above. So while technically, only Mondi 8 owners qualify, most of us up through the mid 80s would not have a problem. I was in a hurry to get my plates when I got my QY and so have the normal and never got round to replacing them. In France plates have to be riveted in place. I do think the black with white/silver lettering on my corsa red would be terrific. It would also melt into the front bumper visually. Something else for a future to do list.
