With great excitement and enthusiasm, let's get this thread started! I'll be in New York next month having a meeting with the Tailor Made factory reps to begin the design of my F12 TDF with a subsequent visit to Maranello for the finishing touches. I'll take as many pictures along the way and post to this thread! Cheers! Image Unavailable, Please Login
Congrats Romo ! Goddam your stable will be definitely sick once this one added Do you already have some general ideas about your color comnination ?
hi dcmetro! i'm thinking about grigio ferro metallic with blue cf fiber accents on the exterior and interior. i'm unsure at this time if i should go with the matte finish cf or glossy. when i saw the car at pebble beach i learned that the top of the dash would be matte carbon so i suspect i'd keep it matte in the rest on the interior. my plan is to use as much alcantara as possible with a charcoal gray base and blue alcantara inserts/accents. i really want to hear and see what the tailor made folks have to say as well. cheers!
Menacing in every angle and actually seeing the car at Pebble Beach verifies that NO pictures actually does the car justice.
Congratulations on your allocation ROMO! Thank you for starting the thread and also updating it with your photos along the way!
I would seek inspiration from any of the 250 tdf. Perhaps burgundy with light brown interior. I would go for diamond stitching and leather because IMO it is more tastefull and it will smell nicer....
Thank you very much and I'll make every best effort to photo capture the process from conception to completion!
Could be interesting combo. I went Grigio titanio with blue cf inside and out for my Aperta which is on the line this week. I know titanio has blue in it which was the reason for my cf choice - not sure if ferro is similar?
you make a good point with the blue hues found in titanio whereas the ferro seems to have no blue in. if i go with a cf matte finish for the exterior i think ferro still works BUT i will look at it very carefully. congrats on your aperta and i hope to see pictures of it once you take delivery.
Ferro has a light red hue...I would think some bodeaux on the interior would complement nicely. I have bordeaux alcantera on my F12 doors and very nice subtle shade.
The real version does not appear to look like anything in these pictures if this video is legit. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=rZ_j1enbS20
The video is of a Tailor Made F12 with the Tour De France Livery. The goal was to emulate the1962 Ferrari 250 GTO : Francorchamps Historic livery, Winner of Tour de France 1964.
A good historic livery would be a grigio exterior and blue interior. Congratulations ROMO for your purchase.
The lower dash, parcel shelf, and seat inserts are leather bordeaux. The door panels are alcantera bordeaux which is a more muted bordeaux color. http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/ff-f12/497971-f12-here.html
Grigio Ferro + " As much alcantara as possible" = Taste Buddy !! Full alcantara "Speciale style" seats are the sexiest thing in an automotive interior...
