Really on the fence about which colour to paint the car. I change my mind constantly. Gone from first being totally set on it being Black, then my dad said the lines of the car will look much better in red, plus the car was originally red (not that originality really matters when you have chopped the roof off).......... but now I'm also thinking white.

Well plenty of time to decide that, paint is a long long long way off.

My other TR has just been collected to have some work done at Maranello :)

Downside is I'm without the blueprint car for a while to work out where all the bits and cables live.

    scott,
I would paint in yellow, then black softtop, the "air guide plates" left and right also in black and also the air guide plates directly in front of the left and right radiator.

    mel,
what is LHS and RHS? you mean LHD and RHD?

I disagree. Pocher sold many models of a white TR spyder because its just damn sexy. You already have a red TR.....mix it up.

How about I just finish it as is with a layer of clear coat and leave it as the 'rat look Testarossa spider' 😄😄😄
Can you imagine the faces and comments as the rat cruises by.

Not much progress tonight. As I wait for parts & a key resolution, I'm cleaning bits up. I decided to spruce up the passenger door and all the window workings from 30 years of dust and grease build up.
One of the things I don't like on my other TR is the snail slow windows, hopefully with all the parts cleaned and lubricated these might actually work a little faster.

When the other car comes back from Maranello, I will use it to work out exactly how these crazy window wires are configured

While you are waiting for parts, you can disassemble the window motor and clean out all the glue (old grease). That's half of the window issue. A fellow in the 328 section sells a little kit that fixes the voltage problem. Together, you will have proper speed.

Yes thats what I started to do last night .... there is lots of goo built up in the motor and the pulleys over 30 years. I think i'll do the same on my 1990 car when its back.

Will wait and see how the windows perform when I get some sort of power fixed and then get the upgrade kit if required, lots of other bits required as priority to spend on first.

This may be a silly question, but in the picture of you holding the door lock mechanism. Does it have power locks?
