One would hope that it would be only high officials and heads of state but in this case the owner of the cars appears to be quite high up in the family and it is possible the Bureau of Diplomatic Security is lending a hand. They provide advice, briefings and support on request through field offices across the country. In this case the appropriate office would be the West Los Angeles Satellite Office on Wilshire Boulevard.

I love that scene in "Lethal Weapon".

We need Det. Alonzo Harris, and take these guys to County and put them with our buddy Suge Knight for a couple of days. See if they ever come back to LA.

If they put those boys in the county they would be breakfast.

But life's not fair and that won't ever happen. He has the right last name. The divers face isn't visible during the reckless driving part. So he walks no charges.

We have throngs of these kids that hang out at our monthly Motorsports Gathering. They hang out and entice these morons to do acts of stupidity for youtube. With its the college kids with origins from the 'sandy areas' (Middle East) and the ever popular Vette boys.

exactly. you can see one of the kids cheering for the drifting stun in one of the posted videos.
they are imo also guilty for giving the guy a reason to show off. as much as i appreciate their effort of taking nice photos of the cars..some time they are totally crossing the line.

That depends. Vehicular protection from search and seizure only applies to the most senior ranking officials, but for everyone else it's non-existent. Furthermore, it won't stop a police department from impounding it and then simply allowing for the official to later pick it up. The police absolutely can bust their chops if they possess the backbone to do so.

The police say they weren't there to observe it so they haven't been arrested. What they don't say is any citizen can have the guy arrested if they saw him driving.

    To everyone else:

Who knows? His Majesty may have noticed and decided to resolve things "in house".

Imagine those guys being summoned home and facing the wrath of an absolute monarch. I am glad I am not them.

A car dealer friend of mine had some Middle Eastern visitors looking over his stock. As they stood there chatting in Arabic he politely asked if they would mind speaking in English whilst inspecting his cars. The harsh response was no and soon you will all be speaking Arabic. He escorted them from the premises and refused to deal with them.
