Lamborghini with AWD and technology from AUDI LMP1 car could easily beat Laferrari but rumors say this car will have only petrol engine with 800 hp and will be build in 30 units, including 10 roadster

I did recall Lambo CEO saying that hybrid was/is never been part of their plans. I think the statement i read was sometime early this year, or late last year. They still stay they're gonna go with N/A V12s.

A bit off topic (more like completely off topic), but is this thread the largest thread in FChat history?

I believe Laf was the fastest, because it was leading at around 2:20; however, at the same time it got stuck in the traffic. Otherwise, it might have come first. Of course, drivers are different

You are right, the LaFerrari was easily the fastest till it hit that traffic. Especially on the long Kemmel straight it put some ground between itself and the other two. At one point the lads in the Ferrari were even having a chat. LOL! Okay, good fun, but different drivers so it doesn't really prove much.

You guys do realize that the 918 was driven by the owner himself and the LaF was driven by a bloke called Andrian Sutil, a current Formula 1 driver. The P1 was also driven by Gerard, a professional race car driver as well.....

Wow! Had no idea! I do not believe any of these 3 cars is "easily the fastest" in any category! If only Ferrari would allow comparison testing of customer cars like Porsche does then we may even find out which one is fastest under which conditions!

it is obviously a pointless comparison from the get go. different drivers, traffic on the track, tire condition and all the other variables not being considered. i do not understand the fanatic reaction toward/against particular brands..

It's been this way since the beginning. "Fans" of each brand/car will hold out until the very end hoping/believing that 'their' car is the 'best, by far'...even when facts prove otherwise.

The latest round has to do with weight. LaF worshippers never in a million years thought the car would weigh 3600lbs. P1 fanboys never thought that machine would be 3500+ lbs. Reality has a funny way of not following company propaganda.

There's a reason why Ferrari tightly controls information until they deem that it doesn't matter so much anymore. Gotta milk it for all it's worth so that when factual data becomes available, it doesn't affect the perception of the car. Look how long it's taken to get real world info about its weight. As per a full instrumented test of a 'real' production example, we're still waiting. I remember the good ol days of magazine racing between fanboys of the 3 cars...Ferrari and McL peeps not giving the 'overweight' and 'underpowered' 918 even a tiny chance with any of the performance metrics. Fast forward to the present and looky what we have. Neither the LaF or the P1 enjoys a 500lb weight advantage that 'everyone' was certain that they would. LaF and P1 are not 'way faster' either...on track or straight line. Not even close. But of course, desirability, subjectivity is a whole nutha discussion.
