I was running into this on hotels as well - we ended scoring a beach condo in Watsonville on AirB&B (about 30 mins away). Still some options there. I'll also be at Concorso with our 308 QV as well as Pebble on Sun. I hope to meet some of you there, although not sure hot to identify an F-chatter among the crowd... Is there a secret handshake? Cheers! Ruben
I might suggest you acquire the sports car market mag. "Insiders guide to Monterey 2015"...has all events in the area and what to see.. really helpful... ...My Comp. Daytona will be at the FCA Concours show Monday and the Quail on Fri....would really enjoy meeting other F Chaters while out there..... stop by and say Hi..
I will be visiting the MCW for the first time. Really look forward to it! Will be traveling with one friend from the Netherlands and one from Belgium. Only event i don't visit is the Quail... So, hopefully mr. Napolis will show his car some other places too... I'm attending a.o. the Carmel Concours (on the Av.), Concorso Italiano, Pebble Concours and the FCA concours. Look forward to meet some of you! Maarten
Agree. I used to attend every year, but I can't stomach begging the hotel I stayed at last year to give me a room this year for double the price. The attitude of the inn keepers is really turning me off to the weekend. George
Hi. Jim... that's a stunning car...can't wait to see it in person.. and I believe you're right...probably in the same class... .. I'm also of the opinion your car and mine (#12467) may be traveling together out to Ca.. I did take your advise and "Billy" is handling my car also... ... Would enjoy meeting up with you while there.. Best to you..
FCA cancellation just popped up in our area with hotel rooms after PB, also snagged a Hyatt Highlands for around that price from the 9th-16th. Go to Craigslist.
That's a truck right? Post a pic. I'm on the fence about a car, I hear the traffic will be just awful but it is PB and it is LS right? Any covered storage out there?
It's a truck. Works great for Car Week. Sometimes I even make my own exits from events (as does Brian in a rental car).
Cant wait to see it Tom. Long time coming.. Congrats.. I will be there starting Thursday afternoon and will stop by to see TW at the Quail Thursday.. I'm driving up in my 365 GTC4..
No car, but under a sign that sez ART & BOOKS. If you have a good barn find story, stop & tell me.I hope to meet The Great Massini to find out the straight skinny about the 250LM that raced in his country, Der Schweiz, with a Porsche body (well, it was cheaper than a Ferrari body...) It'll be hard to top that one.
Is there any ticket required for the FCA Concours on Monday? I would love to show up in the morning and shoot photos before hitting the road back to LA.
I don't think it's open to public. If I'm not mistaken, current FCA membership AND 3-day event registration (+/- 500 & up ?) are required to gain access.
I understand that to get into the Concours, purchase a $50 Concours only ticket at the Hyatt Hotel registration Sunday night or Monday morning that will not include the lunch. Best regards, Robert
I'm displaying my euro spec F50 at The Quail and at the FCA Concours. Hopefully I can meet a few of you there!
Thank you, Sir for clarifying this. I've been asked by few friends in the area if there's public access to this show and I told them no. I'll pass this on
I am attending Carmel Concourse on Aug 11. Alas, my plane flies out on midnight, so I will be missing most of the good stuff. Hello, from Jakarta!
