Hey guys, I just noticed this in one of the pics of the drivers seat.

    Thoughts?

My AC is fine too. The auto mode isn't as accurate as my Escalade but it does the job.

As far as the bolster damage, I bet all cars are seeing this damage more and more due to the fattening of America. It's getting harder to get into cars when you're carrying around an extra 40-50lbs! I know BMW is concerned about it too. They're doing research on a stronger bolster/leather to withstand the tortures of ingress/egress.

Would that be something that kills the deal for you?

Is that something the dealer could even fix?

It turns out that this was just a second after the guy taking the pictures got out of the car. Turns out it's ok.

The factory ones are junk. Mine broke within a year.

I know I might be late to the ball, but check your insurer's first, some Fcars have rediculously high insurance premiums and deductables, while other dont.
If I recall anything 2007 and older (here in British Columbia anyway) has a cheaper rate and a $500 deductable availible. 2008- up F430's have a $10000-$15000 (yes thousand!!!) deductable and stratospheric rates to go with it!!! might be the tipping point between a nice 2006 or a 2008! FWIW
