FWIW I use Castrol 20W50 based on a recommendation by my Ferrari dealer (and they used it when they did my last engine out). I've had no problems.

Sorry to have gone missing. Health issues have me sidelined for now. I hope to see him next week.

I've read this thread and I have one question, what are your thoughts on Mobil1 10w40 full syn oil for an 88 TR?

    Thanks,
    Roberto

PS Now I have Dino 20W50 and I want to return to factory spec oil.

It is a far better choice than dinosaur oil. And unless track driven it will be better off with the thinner oil.

Actually, the synthetics ARE Dino Oil - as they are made from natural gas.

Natural gas is quite obviously dino gas rather than liquefied dino guts.

I am so glad that this has not been another timing belt thread.
