Your model and mine are much nicer to drive than the 82' 400 and the other later models. I was surprise at the leg room under the steering wheel an the fact that I could rest my arm on the door. 800 miles on my car now. I finally used one quart of oil. No leaks.😊. I have been a bad boy. Running 100 most of the time. 4,200 RPM. Steering seems heavier than the 400. In a concours last week end. Still finding bits. A new interior light came on EBay. I could not believe my eyes. I needed one lever knob. That was easy. They called it a mouse ear. Ordered a heater control cable. The other was bent so bad. I really like the mouse hair interior. Sure glad Brett mentioned it. Have you driven your car any distance. I find mine very comfortable.

Not yet, I have to disassemble the calipers, clean and lube the rails and reinstall. They're sticking a bit right now. Can't believe the AC still works after 10 years and 1000 miles. So far, she isn't leaking a drop. I do need and correct battery hold down and the AC temp sticker that goes in the recessed top of the switch. I'm also still looking for the proper zig zag hood pad. Oh yeah, the driver's side visor clip that hold it up is broken too. I'm sure that's just the beginning!

The more I study and become familiar with this car the more I believe the Speedo showing 13k kms.

I had a hood pad made. I have a pattern. I am sure I can gee another made if you need one I can get them to make one for you. but the shop changed the pricing and gouged me. I am meeting with another shop this week. visor clips. a 400 will work but the screw size is larger. I need two for the car I robbed. I am checking Europe now.

It's interesting how these cars stick in your mind! I researched a bit more this morning and made this observation.

In 2012 there were two 365 GT4 2+2 cars that sold for $50k + at auction. If you review the other same period Ferrari cars they have all increased by 2 or more. I really do think these are solid $80-100 cars. But I am certainly biased.

    Thanks for the compliments everyone.

I came across this thread since I've seen a some nice examples are coming up at auction. When I scrolled down and saw the post-paint photos, I knew I'd seen the car before.

Yep, it's a lot in Mecum's Monterey auction.

Interesting how they've Photoshopped the trees in the background to a less tropical setting.

Your post about your history of buying and selling was great. While I hope the car brings what you want, as a buyer looking, I hope it doesn't go too high. :) Good luck.

    Hmm...

I personally took those pictures 2 miles from my warehouse with no photo-shopping of the background. I use a long zoom lens and stand around 70 yards away then zoom in.

Of the 10 cars I am offering at Monterey, this car is the one I am least motivated to sell. I really do enjoy driving the car! My philosophy over the last 7-10 years for selling at auctions is to offer 10+ so at least one car will bring rain. You never know which it will be!

You might notice the same background for our 280ZX and Lamborghini Countach.

So who is willing to go out on a limb and say what they think the high bid will be?

2+2, "challenging" styling, ponderous (heavy) handling, expensive maintenance to value ration.....but what do I know, I too own the same car in blue/tan !!!

$100k and beyond; go girl go

When they go they go! In one respect it will be kind of sad. If they weren't cheap at one time I probably wouldn't have owned one.
