Any idea on the life left in the clutch? Has it been replaced?

Sorry. I thought the earlier DB9's had a transmission similar to the Vanquish. I never realized it was a proper ZF automatic. My mistake :)

I'd be all over this if it was about 6-8 months from now, FWIW. Got a couple other things I need to pay for first then save a while before my "fun money" account will be back in Aston Martin range!

If you've still got it then, maybe it will work out!

you are in the price range and car looks nice. be patient.
What may work against you is Aston buyers are looking for low miles and there are more db9s out there than let say a Vanquish (I pulled 69 dbs vs 6 vanqs from 1 site).
On the other hand you can show one owner and the buyer will know all about the car.
I think at $48K the car should move fast as there would be no market competition better than this but again that is if the car has to move really fast for the buyer searching for one.

I know british cars depreciate like crazy but the fact that a pristine DB9 can be had for 53k is insane....I'll never understand why people shell out 100k for a run of the mill 911

I'm like you. I'd rather get this car than a $53k 535i. Except for a few things favor the new car:

    - Warranty
    - Ease of financing
    - Leases available

I expect that very few people buying a $90k 911 ever pay it off. They lease or finance and hold for a few years.

Nice car for the money. The updated wheels really transform the car. I was ust wondering, can you take the front license plate off? If so, how is it attached? Will you see screw holes? Do you think a 3 yo would fit in the back?

Just took a broader look at the market for DB9s. Looks like lots of good cars for low $$ out there now. I would think at some point the market would consider these to be bargains. Lots of car for the money. I love mine and would not part with it.
