I can't imagine how tough it is to drive one of the GT cars with the speed differential with the P1 cars. That plus all the P1s are running in a big train right now.

I've followed racing for over 30 years and never heard anyone describe "smooth" as being able to stay on line. generally it's either in relation to driver inputs or keeping the chassis settled.

not sure, but the 991 RSRs have a habit of engine problems going back to their debut a few years ago.

Anyone have luck finding a live stream of the actual broadcast?

They seem to have changed live stream from last year.

    Any direction appreciated.

"borrowed" live stream from UStream (Eurosport feed, in English) but it was so choppy I gave up.

sometimes not having cable is annoying.

Here is the Eurosport stream live with commercials:

Watch 24 hours of Le Mans Live Stream Online

Warning there are a lot of popups and fake warnings in the early going. Cancel all of them and you will then get the live stream

I don't understand prior post either...what I meant by "smooth" was that, of the 3 people I know who raced seriously on Gran Turismo or iRacing , I've noticed their driving is relatively uneventful - not a lot of countersteer, very gradual inputs, very settled car. Of the few times I've played iRacing, once the car steps out (which is really easy to do), it's practically impossible to recover no matter how quick your countersteer/throttle response- so my theory is that those games reward very smooth inputs.

    Anyway...back to Le Mans!

big hit for the #8 Audi.

not sure what exactly happened to cause that...another case of approaching a slow zone too quickly?

Looked like the Corvette was going slow in the middle of the road..everyone else was trying to figure out how to get around it. You could see the Porsche P1 weaving back and forth.

I think a slow zone had just been cleared, so there was a big knot of GT and P2 traffic still getting up to speed (and attempting to pass each other) and the Audi caught them at full speed.
