All this talk is really making me think about selling my '77 GTB. US car, almost 49k miles, good driver, AC inop and needs belts this summer (may do myself).

Wonder what it would go for????

a similar happening,2 actually, in my friends and families friends circle started me thinking tot. Sell 3 of my cars could offer me the oppertunity to buy a 488. The first new ferrari I immidiately fell in love with on the day of introduction
and believe it or not, I already made an appointment for a testdrive. ....

yes, the only downside is that now with my cars i can take the whole family for a spin. And that's very nice too:):)
Next weekend we will be driving three cars to a local meeting. Both sons behind the wheel. One driving the 328, the other the QV. (Naturally, I will drive the dry-sump myself:):):)

Okay. In that case I'll take 3/4 of a million for my non-restored, non-low milage, however "blessed" with the intoxicating assembly number 3 (should be good for a premium of about 250K) Vetro. In either dollars, pound Sterling or euro's, I won't discriminate ! And if the buyer wants to twist my b*lls, and drives an incredible hard bargain, we could even end up with just half a million. With me paying for the fuel bills for the rest of the year. I'll even drive/fly over once in a month to wash the car, and after that walk the guy's dog !

Seriously, what is this seller thinking ???

Why shouldn't he give it a try? There is an old french saying: "there is one pigeon getting up every morning"; a "pigeon" being, in french, a guy completly unaware of the true market prices of things and that is easy to strip of his money. You just need one...
And furthermore, we have been told for years that the "Vetro" will be the next "Dino", so now it is...
Insane if you ask me, but why not?

Well, a jump from a "reasonable" 200K to the 340 K Vetro I already find rather ehh "optimistic", but this seller ? He just sat in the sun for a bit too long. Who can take it seriously ? (Not me)

If Vetro prices climb up in let's say steps of 20K a month and by this time next year we average/approach the half-a-million-mark then I think you should run for cover. Or buy mine !! :)

I have what may be the ultimate "vetroresina" 308 for sale right now (after all, it is plastic). If you or someone you may know is interested send a PM. There were only three built, and I heard one was destroyed, so we will see what the market is.

    Huffaker Ferrari 308/288GTO IMSA GTU

Asking $425K, but will listen to serious offers. I also have it listed on eBay right now.

    Thanks for looking, Jeff Moore

Just received a summer mailer from my auto insurance company, Heacock. In it under cars to watch is "Ferrari 308". It reads as follows, "The rising tides at the top of the market have certainly raised all Ferraris recently, and none more than the Magnum PI era 308. With a robust V-8 and handling like few others, they languished in the market for years, but no longer".

I hope they will not have a hard time upping my coverage when I ask this year (which they did not do last time). :) :)

Did you just not like it or do you want to take advantage of the suddenly high asking prices?

It looks like a very nice example, which is refreshing to see.

You have good taste in cars so it's worth asking as your opinion should have some weight. I've owned my fair share of 308/328 GTBs but never a 2v wet sump, carbed car so there's relevance to that question for me.

the carbed cars are awesome.......and IMO sound way better

I am looking for one but I wasn't considering a wet sump car. But yours looks nice which is why I asked your opinion of it.
