Greetings all- Although I swore I'd never sell my beautiful 412 Auto- I probably am moving on to other projects. So in today's marketplace- what is a pristine 19,000 mile Titanio Grigio 412 with red interior worth? The car has TWO sets of wheels- the original Metric wheels with TRX installed and four Testarossa front wheels with Godyear Eagle F1s. It has a newer genuine Ansa stainless exhaust. As nice a 412 as I've ever seen. Love it, but you know... Is $50's realistic? well aren't gullwing selling one for $49500 so $50k must be a minimum in this condition. in the UK it would be up for around £40k or $60k. In Europe it seems a lot more currently
Rob- Prices for Porsches and most Ferraris have been higher in Europe for a while, I tend to think the softening of the Euro will raise them even higher as USA buyers now buy European cars, instead of the other way around. We'll see what happens here. Still on the fence about whether to sell...
yep that's fair point about the euro but even so when you convert to £ or $ they are still strong asking prices over on mainland Europe
Notice that it's also uncut for side markers. I think $50s is completely fair in this market. What serial number is that? I've had pictures of it for a while but never had the serial for the registry. Also, I'd love to see pictures of the car with the Testa fronts on it.
Brian- The first picture is with the Goodyears and the TR wheels on it. Here's another one. The car is also California BAR. It's # 76638. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Photos don't show how great the red interior is. This is definitively on of the nicest 412's out there.
It does seem that the european market is commanding higher prices , but my advice is not to be shy. Prices are on the way up no matter which continent you are in. A 412 auto in a1 condition here in the UK is soon to go on the market for £55000. The car is perfect , but so is yours , especially with that colour scheme. The only thing I'd question with yours is the mileage. Don't you drive the things in the states? Good Luck Jerry
Got 27 cars in the stable- The "Garage Art" quotient is very high for me. Around here driving season is 9 months- So one butt into 27 seats does not rack up a lot of miles per vehicle. The previous owner was a collector with similar tastes- the car got driven regularly, but 10-15 miles per outing.
Without the Testarossa wheels, blacked out windows and hopefully no other modifications originality is your chance if you want to increase its value! 19000 miles means the car has not been driven which could be a concern only if the engine has not been turned over on a regular basis.
Please be sure to let us know the final sale price. I am especially interested as my '84 400i has the same color scheme. Greg
