A somewhat surprising result for such an original car. 100K below the low estimate? Surely not a good sign. A great 1960s Ferrari - for some the holy grail of Ferrari road cars below estimate? The market might be weakening….!

Maybe not a burst bubble but a sign of coming stagnation in prices, IMO.

I thought the estimate on the Gooding Boxer was predicted at 425-475, I didn't catch what it sold for.

The F40 stalled at 1.45 against 1.6-1.8 estimate......they announced it sold about a lot later.

But then you get incredible appreciation/new records on cars like the glass 308, 355 spider, 993 Turbo S, Ferrari 575 SuperAmerica, etc. There appears to be significant money chasing the "next" big car, closing the gap to the more expensive cars, possible new generation of buyers (buying the car they remember when younger), etc.

Prices realized for the "big" cars are still quite high. the reserves, however, continue to move at an unrealistic pace.

    '95 348 $65K vs estimate $75-95K

'73 Dino green barn find unsold $330K v. est $380-440K

599 SA Aperta with delivery miles hit the mark dead-center: $1.05M v. est $900K-1.1M

Seems many cars have been light vs estimate, maybe Gooding expectations had more momentum than the market? An E-type went a few lots back for ~$100K under the low estimate at ~$125K.

$550K for the '75 RS with cool rally history seems light in a world where production Turbo-Carreras are achieving >$300K+

American cars still seem to lag, that Shelby GT500KR really struggled to reach $130K, $20k under low est.

Back to work, someone else will have to log!
