Fight is finally set after all the drama. Intentional drama, in my opinion. Who ya got? I'd love to see Floyd lose...
+1 on this happening 5 years ago. I like Mayweather due to his longer reach. Regardless, this'll be huge if it comes off...T
Still, the poll here is useful. It'll be interesting to refer back to it to see who guessed right. All the best, Andrew.
Would have been more exciting to see this fight before Manny lost! Mayweather is going to crush him. I hope its a good fight but I just don't see it happening
I actually thought this myself. FM will have an automatic rematch clause in his contract. So if they somehow have a split decision or it's a draw, they will do it all again in September and make even more money the second time around. Especially if there is controversy in the first fight............which their probably will be. I predict Manny to win on points in 12 rounds. I place a $100 bet on this @ 3.30.
Yea I'm sure. This one is supposed to be $120M for Mayweather and $80M for Pac. That's funny money for a night's work.
Manny lost his first fight in 1996, almost 20 years ago. Mayweather is undefeated. So, if Manny beats him, where would that put him in the rank of greatest p4p boxers? T
As I said in the boxing thread. Pac is going to have to hit FM a lot for a win on points. Even he can't do this. For the win, Pac will have to knock out FM. Doesn't have the power to do it. Judges seem to favor FM, it won't take much for him to beat Pac.
Manny is sure a diverse individual! According to Wikipedia, "Beyond boxing, Pacquiao has participated in basketball, business, acting, music recording and politics."
Anybody know when actual tickets will go on sale? I know i can't buy them direct but brokers have no idea what they are selling..section and row only no seat number. If I am gonna pay 7-10k for a seat I want to know exactly where I'm gonna be. Room and flight booked, waiting for tickets. I'm betting on Mayweather and I think it will be a interesting fight(or hope so at least)
I'm glad you said interesting and not exciting. Mayweather hasn't been in one of those his entire carrier. If it does get exciting, look for Mayweather to snuff it out by grabbing, and holding, while the hand picked ref looks on. Think about it before you spend that $10K.
According to reports Mayweather is more aggressive and has knocked out his sparring partner. Good! The only way I see Mayweather winning is if does what he does best, defense. If he runs and lands a few punches to win by points but even at that, how does anyone outpunch Pacquiao?
