I have a check engine light and I have tried plugging in 2 different OBD readers but none will power up but they both work fine on my BMW.

    Is the Diagnostic port fused?

I have looked in the Handbook and also a wiring diagram but can find anywhere where the fuse is.

Can anyone let me know which location it is?

Your help would be much appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Steve

No, not a fuse. Search campaign 148. The ground pin in the OBD was not connected and you need to fix that.

Ferrari should fix that for free. Go to your dealer.

If it is a US car they will. If it is a euro even the dealer is under $200 and you can do it for maybe $15 if you have to buy the crimper.

Thanks for the answer guys. I can't beleive Ferrari would sell cars with non functioning diagnostic sockets. It must mean my car has never been plugged in...wow
I will go to my local dealer and ask about this recall.

The port functions and the SD will read it. Other OBD readers get power there and need the ground pin.

    Hi John,

I talked to the Ferrari dealer in Orlando today. He says the car is a late 360 spider and shows no recall for the ground PIN issue.
So i need to take it in later this week so they can check it out..hmmm

Well took it to the main dealer. They couldn't get their scanner to work either. They found 2 fuses blown, one for the batter charger.. Seemed strange as I don't have one. That fuse stayed in tact after repalcement. The other was for the park lights/door lights/cig lighter/glovebox lights. When that was replaced it just popped again. It was confirmed as mine is one of the late 360 spiders it already came wired for OBD plug in ..no campaign 148 needed.

Was the Dealer able to fix the problem that was popping the fuse. Did they tell you just what it was?

Are you new to Orlando? If so, next Saturday 02/21/2015 is a great Cars and Coffee in Celebration. Check out the Florida area thread.
