A few photos from Saturday's show. Despite very grey, overcast skies and a bit of rain there were some beautiful cars on the lawn. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

What was it before? OK, this was white with black top. I photographed this a few yrs ago, definitely better looking in white/black, too many red cars.
Yeah, PF knew what they were doing, didn't they? When F-Chat user mroz bought the car back in '02, he immediately sent it to Motion Products to have it restored in its original colors. Unfortunately, he sold it a few years ago and the new owner has a thing for red Ferraris. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Red thing = triple zero . Zero class. He doesn't get it. Many people shaking their heads as they walked away. What a pity and lost opportunity to do something right - just once.
Thanks for the pics. Yes, 0490/AM in red is one of the most stupid things I've ever seen. Another Wexner's insanity... This kind of restoration should be banned from Cavallino Classic and elsewhere...
I agree, at one time it was unique, now it's just another red Ferrari. Well, I do have photos of it when it was white.
Thank you for the pictures. I don't understand why so judgmental? I do understand its a piece of history but if the current owner likes red, whats the problem with that? Perhaps I am simply missing some information in my bewilderment? I'm not trying to judge you for having strong opinions but just wondering how come?
And if the current owner likes convertible and cut the roof of 0490/AM to make a cabriolet, that would be a great idea for you ??
Wow, really poor taste to respray it from the beautiful original colours. Hopefully in better hands soon!
No. And please notice, I did not say this was a great idea to change the color. I think a color change is quite different than structural modifications.
Andreas Mooringer's Dino 206sp unrestored won. I hope this starts a trend just as was + he drove it on the street to The airport party. When I get back to LA I will post More photos of this great little car !
Agree 100%... This guy want all his cars in red. The other one repaint his cars in yellow and crash them. Bravissimo to both.
I was on the track with Andreas towards the end of the day. He explained that the car had recently had the transaxle rebuilt and he wanted to do a shakedown run. He was driving a bit slowly for him. Before we got on the track, I asked him how many cars were left like his. The answer? "One." He said "I need you to be careful." No problem! I didn't want to be known as the guy who destroyed the one of one 206 Dino prototype! Anyway, the car conked out after a couple of laps, but the cause turned out to be simple. There was a malfunctioning pressure relief valve for the fuel cell. Scott
Somebody should put aside vanity and bad taste, respecting the history and authenticity of the precious objects owned. But this is a big problem, since it is required culture... Ciao Andrea
