After a bunch of shopping, I've narrowed my choice to 4 watches, and now would welcome any feedback on the brands and these timepieces.

I want steel, leather strap, "simpler looking is better", "rarer" brand. Cost between these is not a factor.

(I included the nardin dual time in two colors, thus five watches in the link).

Also - advice on grey market in general and this seller?

    Thanks in advance!

All great watches, but not my style. If I had to, I'd say the Blue UN.

Never shopped at Joma, but they certainly advertise a ton.

    Best,

I like omegas the best but new rolex GMT is really the one to beat. Good luck on your choice.

+1. Especially with the black & blue ceramic bezel - it looks pretty sharp. They have also brought back the "Pepsi GMT" which is sort of an iconic watch.

The Ulysse Nardin's! I like your choices, something a little different. Have fun choosing. I sold my Perrelet the other week, beautiful watches, might want to look into them.

Of those, pick something from JLC.

I recommend a vintage Rolex Sub 'non-date' on a leather strap (model 5513 from early to mid-70s). About the same money, cool, classic, but unique. Will always hold its value (those on your list will not).

    Something like this.

Rolex Submariner Dial 5513 Meters first on Strap

The Jaeger Master Dual Time. The others are too fussy.

My bad. Missed you were looking for a duel time.

Same idea, different reference (Rolex 1675 on a strap). Like this.

    Rolex GMT Master 1675 - 1967 | analog/shift

    Thanks everyone.

To the Roller folks, I'm very familiar with the GMT and Explorer II watches...like them, may get one someday, but this current purchase is for a dress watch and not a sports watch (my terminology, likely not shared by all) and on a leather strap.

The JLC fits the bill best.

I was looking for feedback on UL and JLC as I don't know anything about them...

    Thanks again folks.

JLC is a higher end brand than Ulysse Nardin.

I am not sure if it is still true, but other brands, like Vacheron, used to use JLC movements.

Haven't looked at Ulysse in a while, so not sure if it is still true, but I think they used to use ETA based movements.

That makes the JLC a higher end watch by default.

Stick with JLC then. Higher quality and better movements.

Thanks again everyone. I ended up changing my buying plan...I decided I wanted one of the JLC calendars (either the annual calendar or the thin line perp cal). But I also wanted a world timer...so I found this one for 70% off of its (absurdly high) MSRP and ordered it, but will get one of the JLC's this spring once I can see them both in the boutique and decide (won't buy JLC from gray market). So 2 watches rather than one...oh well.

So the cities stay in place but the 24 hour "disk" rotates. I'm happy so far, only complaint is that the type of the cities is pretty small :)

Sheesh...the B&M that I got is in sale at Joma for $1999! (I thought I got a good price at $400 more than that).

That's the problem with brands that discount.

Are they going to discontinue it?
