I will play, but only under the proviso that they are cars I could actually buy on a middle income Engineer’s salary….of course everyone wants a 250 GTO but I would prefer some reality.

    1. Lamborghini Diablo Roadster - First and foremost, every car guy needs to experience owning a mid-engined V-12 with a click-clack gated manual transmission with a top down or off option. On the right sunshine filled Spring or Fall day, it is motoring nirvana.

I’ve owned mine for 9 years and even though I’m thinking about moving on from it, that car will always be the one I think of first.

    2. Ford GT - The pinnacle of the first 100 years of the American automobile industry. Got pretty lucky finding a well enjoyed one for under $190k as the pandemic was starting in Feb 2020. It just does everything well in the hands of a skilled driver and doesn’t suffer fools (see the throttle house review on YouTube last year). Easy and fun to upgrade (mine is FAR from stock)

    3. Jeep Wrangler 392 - Have had one on order since Oct, have no idea if it will get here at this point. Just an old fashioned go anywhere, do anything rig that is the very definition of “smiles per mile”. Would understand putting a G wagon or Defender in this spot

The last two spots are possible landing spots if I sell the Diablo:

    4. 992 Porsche GT3 - a platform everyone knows and most love

    5. Ferrari Scuderia or Speciale - Have driven a Scuderia twice, loved both outings after being meh about a regular 430. The inclusion of a Speciale is a projection of what the Scuderia did for the 430 line because I really didn’t like driving a 458…. If it doesn’t, I would go to the honorable mention

Honorable Mention- Lamborghini EVO, silly fun to drive, very entertaining

Totally agree on this one... for my list, I could actually swap the LaFerrari for the new Gordon Murray T50 (or even the smaller T33 has the gated v12 also)

And for a Porsche, I love the ones that Singer is building for that same sort of purity.

Jeep Wrangler 392 is awesome... I had a custom Wrangler when I was younger... Defender, G-Wagon, or even a custom H1 Hummer would all be cool
