It is my understanding that Koni shocks 82-1321 and 82-1322 are applicable for 250 GTE's and SOME 330 GT 2+2's. I have not been able to find out WHICH 330 GT 2+2's this applies to. Is there a chassis break on the 330's before which it applies? Was there a recognizable suspension design change that determines whether these are correct or not? Is it solely a matter of what the build sheets say? Or is the different shock for the other 330 GT 2+2's just slightly differently internally and one can use these without much noticeable difference?
Can anyone shed light on this for me?
    Thanks in advance.

I am not sure where you got your information, but this is from Factory Build Sheets:

    330 America: Front-82/1216, Rear- 82/1253L

250 Lusso (5000 number range): SAME

    330 GT 2+2 (5000 number range): SAME

    late 250 GTE SAME

    250 GTE (early 4000 number range) Front-82/1216 Rear- 82-1217

330 GT #6203 has 1216/1253, while 330 GT #6207 has 1321/1322, so that is probably the break for the shocks.

I think the 330 America, late GTE and early 330GT 2+2 dampers would be coil over type shocks.
Early GTE were not coil over. Some were Milletto (spelling?).

Thank you all for your input. As to where I got my information about application, partly it was from a phone conversation with someone at Koni.
What I know for sure is that I have a brand new in-the-Koni-boxes set of each that I purchased from Bill Rudd Motors in 1990 (I have the invoice) that he sold me for what was then my '63 250 GTE #4683. The rears ARE for a coil-over design and come new rubber pads and retainers. All 4 came with new bushings (painted Koni red).
If anyone would like to purchase them, he can private message me. And if the current owner of 4683 is out there, I have some things that you might want to have or know about. (I have not been able to get a response from the gentleman that runs the 250 GTE registry.)

Just went and took a look at the build sheets for 4683 and sure enough it says fronts were 82/1216 and rear 82/1253. And the build sheets for a GTE about 500 numbers earlier shows the same. Go back to the early 2000's in chassis numbers and it appears that a different brand was used.
In spite of that, Rudd DID sell me these 1321's and 1322's and a contact at Koni told me about 3 years ago that they were correct for the GTE and some 330 GT 2+2's. Perhaps they are a later shock that subs for the originals. I suspect that's the case, but does anyone know for sure?

My father is the owner of 4683 GT and has been for the last 14 years - noticed that 6S166 (Ben) used to own it and we would welcome any further information on the car. I am new to Ferrari chat - so not totally sure how this works. Am hoping someone can get back to us. Can see that this thread is from earlier this year.
