Lol! Vince Camuto is still a good brand. I can't wrap my brain around spending over $1k on shoes...yet! I also don't have an amazing mother-in-law yet. I want the Louboutin Viveka's that I sent you and those are JUST under $1k.
I know I am just f-ing with you! Lol! I actually like some of Camuto's stuff, even though he doesn't have any original designs.
...really good to see some of our esteemed female colleagues posting things here. I bought my wife a pair of Loubs a few months ago. They were the classic Pigalle (sp?) pumps - black, sexy, timeless. She made me take them back. The size was fine, but she didn't want them. She's not a shoe-kinda gal. Actually, she's not into fancy handbags either - and I've bought her many of those (Gucci, Prada, LV, mostly). So, I've kinda turned off the taps on the expensive accessories, so to speak! OTOH, I have no shame buying and rocking a pair of nice Prada or Bruno Magli oxfords for myself! But, damn, they're uncomfortable! I was in NYC this weekend wearing a pair of Prada's for about half the day - had to go back to the hotel and switch to some BM's for the evening's festivities!!!
Old guy, old watch, so I figured old shoes would fit right in. Cole Haan Braganos today. These were made back when Cole Haan was an Italian company and made good shoes. . Image Unavailable, Please Login
Funny thread! Speaking of old favorites... Gérard Sené spectator shoes, and in the office to boot (no pun intended). 15 years old of faithfull service and still classy...a reminder of the thirties and forties, where men knew how to dress. Got another pair in Black and White, but a bit "show-off" for most collegues at work (and directors, CEOs, etc...) Rgds Image Unavailable, Please Login
I love Allen Edmonds. My dad has always worn them and when he gets new ones he gives them to my brothers, they last forever and are super classy. They have a huge tent sale at the Allen Edmonds store here every year and you can get them almost half off sometimes.
