Last movie you saw

Somebody mentioned earlier Michael Bay must have lost a bet to be doing 'Pain and gain'. Actually quite the opposite. Bay had been trying to do that movie for years while studio kept wanting him to do something el$e. That was to be his visual FX free character piece. I thought Dwayne Johnson lost a bet. He was hilarious in the movie.

I wouldn't mind if they change a director for T5. Bay got paid 80M and 160M for Transformers 2 & 3 respectively(back end).

 

A Team. Just rewatched the Liam Neeson version.

 

I still think the best was Transformers 1. It had a great storyline, and it was a childhood dream come through seeing all my toys coming to live on screen!

T2 was rushed i think, too many robots, etc. T3, was horrible, horrible acting, etc.

T4, like i said..there's just no storyline at all. But it has great great effects. More focused on the robots than the humans this time.

 

I finally saw the Attack. Great movie. Frightening at times. You can see why there will not be peace there for decades.

I'm still not sure whether I liked it or not. High ratings on IMDB though.

I'm going to see 'how to train your dragon 2' in about 2 hrs. I didn't see the first one but my kids have assured me I won't be thoroughly confused and/or totally lost. Sounds like I'm in store for a very expensive nap!

Enemy: What a stupid movie. Nothing happens until the end.

Bad words: Another stupid movie where they felt the need to add more drama than comedy in what was supposed to be a comedy.

Wife & I just saw that one on Sunday - we both enjoyed it quite a bit.

 

Strange but interesting. Mrs. liked it.

 

Machete Kills.

Very disappointing. The first one was excellent, this one was just bad. Had some funny bits, like Sofia Vergera's strap on cannon and double D's machine guns. Charlie Sheen's character was quite good.

I'm quite a big fan of the Grindhouse series so I was disappointed with this.

 

Earth to Echo. Took me right back to my childhood when they made movies where kids were the heros (think E.T. and Batteries Not Included). Great movie, the kids liked it but the wife and I liked it just as much if not more.

 

I barely made it to the 10min mark before changing the channel yet I did enjoy part one.

 

Had to fast forward just to finish the movie. Mel Gibson as the big baddie ...Charlie Sheen as US President. lol.
The movie sucks though. Robert Rodriguez has lost it.
Wonder if "Hobo with a shotgun " from Grindhouse is any good.

Watched the first Grindhouse double bill opening night in a huge theater with UCLA crowd. It was insane.

 

I finally watched "The Da Vinci Code" from start to finish with no interruptions and I liked it more than I thought I would.

 

I totally loved that movie and in my subsequent travels went to many of the places shown in the movie.

The sequel was crap though.

 

I'm jealous.

 

When I posed in St Sulpice for a picture in front of the obelisk some Japanese tourists were doing the same. I whispered "Da Vinci code" to them. They nodded and giggled.

Dan Brown tourism is frowned upon in Paris and London.
