Mark Cuban may be on to something.... Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban says 'greedy' NFL ' is 10 years away from an implosion' - ESPN Dallas
I wouldn't mind if SF got a crack at him. Rumour is he is a malcontent, but his work ethic is very good. Speed speed speed....
Titans cut the best RB they have had in decades to avoid paying him his bonus of $8M and refusing to take a pay cut on his big contract signed in 2011. I suppose the player has to show up and produce, but the team can effectively renege (by cutting) if they feel like it. So where will Chris Johnson end up?
Jets could be interesting to watch this year... Whether turnaround story or train wreck is TBD though.
I actually think that's pretty cool. What would you rather? Orange with a confederate flag? The Fleur de Lee play on General Lee is pretty clever.
Has anyone else looked at the NFL schedule? I thought for sure they'd have SF-Seahawks open the season on Thursday night....instead it's Packers -seahawks
I looked into going to the Seattle/SF game in December since I'll already be in Portland but it would probably be cheaper to go to an F1 race. Prices are insane.
I'd cut him, too. He got his money and laid down. I watched almost all the Titans' games, and he can say the line didn't give him holes, but he had a lot of room to run, and didn't. You can find RB's all day long that can produce at 1/4 the pay. Let's see how he (CJ) does with his new team, and Decker just wanted the $$$ - partly because Denver could not afford to pay him AND bring in the new, high-dollar free agents. Problem is, no matter how hard you want to argue, Peyton will really miss Decker because Peyton's arm doesn't have the pinpoint zip - Decker went out of his way with his large wingspan to grab a lot of crappy throws by Peyton. Geno Smith should do the same.
It was good to see local boy Justin Britt get drafted in the second round by the Seahawks, word is he will compete immediately for playing time. Briefly dated my stepdaughter in high school and is a nice kid. His entire family will benefit from his career. It was big news in the small town where I live, I expect to see a lot of Seahawks Britt jerseys this fall locally. Also has a good shot at a Superbowl. Also pulling for another Missouri player, Henry Josey signed as an undrafted free agent for Philidelphia. He is fast but small and there will always be a question about his knee, although last year he looked 100% rushing in the SEC. I had my reservations about Clowney, but seeing and hearing interviews he seems to have a very positive attitude and is always smilling and laughing. He seems to really enjoy everything. On a separate note, will everyone shut the **** up about Manziel going to Las Vegas. Especially Herm Edwards. Does he ever have anything positive to say about anything? He looks like the biggest ******* you could ever meet. My god. It's like he was caught stumbling around a casino at 5am and beating women. He didn't do anything to draw attention to himself, the media is following him hoping he'll screw up. And, imo, they are trying to initiate things to set him up.
You have a point. I think you're right about them waiting for him to step out of line and then they will immediately point back to his Vegas trip, saying "instead of spending time in the film room and studying he was out partying in Vegas".....but if he lights it up in the NFL then he will shut everyone up.
