Sorry, Blackstone is a company that does analysis on used oil. Very helpful for tracking how the engine is responding to the oil you are using. Blackstone Labs Regards, Jerry
Thinking about some replacement wheels for my 635 as the metric tyres are expensive to replace and want to keep the decent set currently on the car stored for shows etc. Style 5's are similar in style to the x spoke originals. My question is, do we think these are 17 or 18 inch? Image Unavailable, Please Login
They look a lot like what I have on my car. I think, but not sure, that mine are 16. 17 at the most. 18 I would think is too big for the wheel wells unless you want to use really low profile tires. Here's a pic of mine: Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I'll check for sure tomorrow and let you know. I get loads of compliments on the wheels, by the way. The metric ones are too much of a pain to keep on the car. Regular size gives you better choices of tires, too.
E24s are stunning, good luck with the wheel choice. I miss my E28, sharknose BMW's are truly special.
Cool! I will always have a thing for oldschool BMW's, they run in my blood and the car life feels empty without having one. Just sold my E30 convertible, next summer I'll find something again!
Those are E39 17" wheels. Here's a link to some info: Original BMW Style 5 Wheel - E39 - 36111093531 - Turner Motorsport
Thanks guys, very helpful. BMW has certainly made some great wheel designs over the years. Here's another view of that nice black one that inspired me Image Unavailable, Please Login
Wheels are definitely one of the most difficult choices any car guy has to make considering how many choices we have. I also would like to stick with a factory wheel so I am considering these M4 wheels for my 525i. They can be had in 19's for just under $800 for a set but I realize you would prefer a more classic design for the 635. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Those look great Gregg, go for it. Similar to the ones I love on this E60; Image Unavailable, Please Login

Added a new daily driver over the weekend. AWD and manual trans and owned by a super OCD guy since 2003. I use the same BMW mechanic and got a stack of records. I feel good about this one. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I love that model 3 series. It's the last great one, IMO. The E90 was a huge disappointment, to me. Everything about that car feels bloated. I don't even mind the design so much, but the e90's feel heavy and just too big. The e46 was the last perfectly sized & balanced 3 series, to me. I think it's even a little ironic that the current 2 series is reviewed as such as spectacular car, when it's just about the size of an e46, perhaps a tad smaller but not that much. Nice buy, and as a purposeful car-guy car it fits well with your other gems.
