I wish the Akra system worked with US version cars but it does not. I have already gotten to at least 200 hp. Next step pulley, downpipe, braces, LSD, and I think there might even be a way to get a six speed tranny in there. My plan is to take this thing apart after the summer and see what I can turn it which includes improving the interior which needs some serious reworking and better quality. If there is one thing I've learned over years I get better ideas once I see the thing in pieces. I said I was done with this kind of stuff but I guess it is just part of who I am.

A month later they still show 35 in stock so at a rate of 3 a month it is a year's supply! Yikes. Will be very interesting to see the deals on '13s when '15s hit the lot in a few months.

Agreed. Would like my dash to look like this as well. I also wish we could get the sequential over here as I think it would be fun to have a faux 695 ferrari model without all of the badging.

For now I have used a company called Road Race Motorsports for the products I've installed and I used their piggy back unit (which I will remove once I get the ECU tuned). I am no fan of piggy back units and I have spoken to Tork Motorsports (also call damn fast dd) about a handheld tuner that holds a least 4 different tunes. Once I take the car apart then it will be one of a kind stuff I design and have made.

Got an email the other day that said my car was in 'framing' which I assume means paint and prep for assembly!

Likely at least another month before it gets here but I'm pretty stoked!

If it was ordered in your name (as opposed to an order for dealer stock) the window sticker will say at the top that it was built for you- a silly but fun little gesture. Of course I carefully saved mine.

Haha...thats exactly the kind of little details I love, means nothing to anyone else but makes me smile. Indeed it was a factory order for me!

Need new tires in 205 or 215/40/17 size. Like to do autox and maybe a track day or two.
What is the hot tire to use these days. Will be using this as a daily still but not concerned with wet/ winter performance.

Which rear sway bar seems to be best as well?

    Thanks for any help.

Toyo r888 are a bit dangerous in heavy rain (be attentivem, don't drive hard and watch for big puddles) but fantastic on the track. The T1R are a better compromise for daily use. Try Road Race Motorsports or Neu-F websites for the sway bar.

Looking at Dunlops z11. Used toyo 888's on my track M3. Not sure how they would work on a daily. Unshaved they were good in the rain.

    Thanks for the tips.

I used the Sway bar from Road Race Motorsports, I am pleased with the way it works.

Those are 17 inch wheels, I think the Dunlops are 205/40. I haven't messed with tire pressure much, usually around 38front/32 rear or just a bit higher. They certainly go higher after a few autocross runs, so that's when I'll lower it back down around 38/32.

As you may have heard, Challenge Car Racing the race series for Ferrari Privateers has started a race series for Fiat Abarth Challenge Cars.

ANSA Motorsports of Florida is converting Fiat 500 Abarths into race Cars (Stripping the interior – installing roll cage race seats etc.)
