My car is doing the same thing again spewing the water out omof the header tanks despite changing the thermostats and fan switch The fuses and board are fine. Radiators are 10 years old. Does it make sense checking th for a blockage

you bleeded the complete system? there are 3 bleeding screws. when is the water spewing out of the tank? still when the engine is cold or only when hot? so you may check the temerature of the water. if it is really to hot or if a cylinder head gasket is blown?
Hi. We re-bled the the 3 bleeders running the car for 15 mins. So far so good. Though I don't feel we have found the root cause of the issue.

After getting the car back twice thinking it was fixed and it failing we found the problem. It wasn't the radiators we opened up, thermostats we changed, temp switch we changed for faulty bleeding. It was a tiny hose that goes to the front of the car to bring water to the heater. It was sucking air into the system which prevented the fans coming on. Small amounts of water was seeping into the left footwell. This caused the radiators to heat up and throw the water out the back through the overflow. We were getting ready to remove the engine. I suggest you check this hose from time to time as the hoses are getting old. There was no need to remove the dash.
Tim, where in the car is that picture, or do you another photo more zoomed out? I had a mystery cooling issue last week, that has not recurred, so far.
I don't have a good photo of that area but it's behind the passenger footwell cover against the wheel arch. Pull back the carpet, remove four phllips button-head screws and remove the footwell cover. Then you can access the heater electromagnetic valve & hoses. Image Unavailable, Please Login
That's the spot Romano. Although the hose runs from the back through the centre under the the same side of the centre console. Mel, I did read your thread, but saw no reference to this hose or this particular issue. I thought it interesting to let people know my fix.
At last ... found the picture ... Do read the thread ... and THESE two pieces of wire may save your engine ... Image Unavailable, Please Login
