no...it is a Kirkham properly. sure Kirkham provides the body to Shelby but Michael's car will carry a KMP serial # and not a CSX. By the way, the Kirkham is my idea of my perfect sports car!!!!! congrats on a beast. if I buy a similar car, it will never be sold...there is nothing that could replace it!!!!
This is an E mail Quote directly from David Kirkham to me... Just remember--you will get more and more familiar with the car as time goes on. NEVER loose respect for it. They are monsters that are just waiting to bite you. Be careful Ya! Image Unavailable, Please Login
For people that have never driven a 427 cobra.....they are ready to bite you and if you aren't a very good driver, they can kill you in a heartbeat.
True dat! To put things into perspective, the Cobra shares the same wheel base as a Miata, and it is not uncommon to find Cobras with over 500HP/500TQ. Old's Sixties technology - no Traction Control, ABS, etc... The *ss end can whip around faster than you can blink an eye, if you don't treat the "loud" pedal as if there's an egg underneath it. Driving a Cobra is like riding a "Harley on four wheels" - it is a very raw experience: windy, loud, smelly, no heat/ac/radio/windows, etc... It is amazing that people bought them back in the day, since well optioned new Corvettes (with heat/ac/radio/windows) were less expensive.
0 -60 is accomplished in first gear alone, This engine is just about 8 litres...OMG Potent! Should have a badge like AMG on back, only read OMG Most of the speed limits on eastern long island are 45mph, 2nd becomes too high and 3rd is too low...This car has legs, need to stretch them as not to be uncomfortable.. Its a little loud in 2nd and too quiet in 3rd.. its a 5 speed Tremec, which shifts nicely...just going to have to lug it in third when doing parade laps.. Raw is the understatement of the year... some guy at the gas station came up to me and asked what is it? and was it stainless steel.. I Kringed! BTW, its a photographers dream subject....agreed??
