Different Mike but I do own a 360 You need to hang around a different crowd of owners, 37,000 miles on the first clutch and based on current clutch wear I should get 40,000 miles on the current clutch. There you go, now you know someone who got over 20,000 on a F1 360 clutch.
How about 57,776 miles on the original 40 year old clutch on my 246GTS? When the car went in for a year long engine-out mechanical and cosmetic restoration in 2007 they told me not to bother with a new clutch since it showed only minor wear. Mileage then was approx. 53,000. So there is a 5 speed manual that I'll probably get 100,000 miles out of on an original clutch. 37,000 or 40,000 miles on an F1 clutch? Sounds like you are in the lucky minority. My street cars get over 100,000 miles on their original clutches. So now you know there is no computer that can control a clutch as well as a good human driver.
I do own a 2000 360. Bought it with 45.600 klms and new clutch and transmission at 45.000. A few owners i know they generally speaking of a 15.000 to 20.000 klm before next clutch replacement. If doing 5.000 klm a year, that is 3.000 euros for every 3-4 years, not a great expense. I just ignore reports of clutch failure at 3-4.000 klm because i'm sure that they must done something wrong. I know that manual last longer on clutch, though
are you sure you don't want the convertible? Its so much better of an experience not to mention it looks waay better with the top off
