Anyone want to give a guess as to where Daytona coupe values are these days in USA?

I realize Mercado in Cavallino has values but I do not get and by the time it comes out the market has changed.

Figure VG to excellent driver, books, tools, records.

Just curious more than anything. I have had a call on mine but really have no idea where the market is.

At the moment I would say the range is $400,000 for a car with needs to $600,000 more or less depending upon buyer's preference.

Drew I too have been contacted about my Daytona by an interested buyer (non dealer) it appears a 'good' not 'great' driver quality car is in the 500K range judging from 2013 Monterey results, also there is a 73 coupe at auctions america in Florida on March 14-16 with a estimate of $475-$575k. Appears like an older restoration (1987) and with miles showing 106k kilometers! With no mention of recent major work done. Might be one to watch.,Chuck

From recent experience in Europe I would say $650,000 for a good car, $800,000 or maybe more if exceptional/perfect.

No hunch, these are real asking prices in the UK, a friend here just bought a Daytona a few weeks ago, obviously he checked a few out and these are the kind of numbers being asked out there. I was offered a nice coupe about three weeks ago for £445,000 ($744,000), there is another for sale with an asking price of £575,000 ($962,000), I know that car too, it belonged to a friend of mine for years. Very nice but not perfect.

There seem to be a few around for sale in the UK currently, which car is currently up £575? I try and follow values but almost all of the cars I see are POA.

Eventually. For now, major factors include relatively large production volume (over 1200 cars) and a vastly more modern design compared to models immediately preceding it (275 GTB/4, for example), making it appear to be more of a 1970s-era car.

Thanks, went on their websites both look to be nice original cars both classiche certified the £575k car with 25k miles and the £445k car with miles in the 50k + range with no mention of rebuild. It will be interesting to see what they sell for! And do you think this is ahead of the market?

Dealers are always ahead of market, this is their nature. Unless markets goes the other direction...in which case they are behind!

Thinking about this, these are the sort of prices Daytonas were hitting at the very height of the 80s boom. Of course $785k brought you a lot more in terms of everything else then.
