I'm 100% sure I saw that red 84 with the Gotti wheels on L-talk, being sold by a teenage kid, for an older gentleman, and someone bashed it for weeks or months and then bought it.

I'm also sure quite a few people know what I'm talking about, they just don't want to tangle with you cause you are known to make public attacks on people and their cars.

Also, I'd like to take this opportunity to re-iterate THE CAR IS OWNED BY TRIPLE-X's SON, not by tripleX, not by the wife, the son is the sole owner.

Is everyone clear that the Countach is owned by the son, and that Triple X has other cars that are way better?

Im in pacific time, its like 1:15am. But thanks for your concern.

It's still early, which means we have time to go over things one last time-

FACT- the red 84 countach (the $300K countach) had a long thread on Ltalk where a guy bashed it over and over, saying it was worth 50K tops. Then he buys it and has the thread removed. Lots of us remember this, it's not just me.

More importantly, Triple-X does not own this car, his son does. I don't know how many times I have to tell you people this. THE SON IS THE OWNER DAMMIT

I'm not trying to start any fights here, just stating the facts.

Were those yellow cars you have, actually built after the 34 red ACR "final edition" gen 2 vipers. If so, I guess the "final edition" cars were really not the final edition. The registery shows 360 final edition cars built (all red) 326 being non ACR cars

This is hopeless…this is a Countach value thread, let’s not forget that. To stop this bleeding and the controversy here is a tidbit of info.

The info I am providing here is not for bashing anyone or any cars but simply to provide supporting fact that are requested thru a direct question asked by ElvisNasty. That is all. I truly wished we would then come back to the specifics issues that are not listed on the car for auction. If no new specifics come along then there is nothing else. It is not ok to stand as Caesar in the arena, look at a car and show a thumb down without other facts for judgment. In addition, it does not matter if a poster has or does not have a lambo. What matters is the passion in his heart not how fat the wallet is. We are all blessed to own at least one. We all started passionate being car-less.

Since no one seems to be willing to answer, in the spirit of facts, yes, I recall the thread on L-Talk that was unavoidable as one of the most controversial topics at that time (circa sept 2010).
The name of the poster there was Triple xXx but there is no trace of the entire thread as it has been completely removed from there. I am not to judge who the poster really was and truly it does not matter for the subject discussed that started all of this.

The 5000S car was put on eBay late 2010 with 11600 miles (or maybe kms as some get confused). The kid's name was terminal99. I am sure someone else has also a copy of the eBay add. The kid posted a tube link of the car for sale at the time:
    [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mikLEJZ7wYs]1984 Lamborghini Countach 5000S - YouTube[/ame]
Now we get that controversy out of the way, it would be nice to discuss the DD painting issue.

I do not believe the car changed color nor it had more than a respray at the bottom. The reason being that the black line near the rear 3Q window is still there and the ducts are still black. If a painter is that careless about painting the bottom all red, it would not have been that careful doing these other details right. I am surprised no one has brought up this fact to light in a balanced view because on every car found wrong it is always brought up as first item to spot a total repaint.

I think that the car must have had road rash at the bottom as they all do only after a few thousand miles and it was badly resprayed. If this is the case, the issue is also a very minor one. Other possible explainations?

    about the red DD:

my concerne is if this car was a DD since new or a FI later converted to carbs
a countach downdraft euro owner had some doubts also

the reason i told make your research before payng BIG $$$ on this QV is one only:
if it is a carbed car from factory, i think it is a good car to buy, if it is a conversion not so much ...
i know some FI were converted to DD, i know some of them had the "middle east" air box and this car has also the FI QV muffler and US bumpers...so while it looks like a DD i would make all the research i can before making an hi bid on this one

i have no interest in purchasing it, neither in bashing it

First off, Triple XXXXX, I did not post about your car to pick on you, I used it as recent example of HOW if we did not know who owned them, or the details, we would easily find things wrong with those cars as with any car posted with a few pics and a brief description. After ALL the Auction house is going to paint ANYTHING in the best light they car, thats their job to represent the seller. THATS why you have to, as I do, "take a chance" on any car you dont do a PPI on our have the privledge of going over it. It crosses the block for 90 seconds, you buy it right and hope it works out. ANY car I buy at auction, I ALWAYS add $20K right off the bat for hidden repairs I may need to make to it. The point some of us are tring to say is that NO ONE should be picking a car apart that someone elses owns WITHOUT a good knowledge of the car and back it up with facts...not just a few line sentence and a few advertised pics.

If it makes you feel BETTER, lets use the 89 White car I bought from "Bob" off of E-Bay. I am sure you can easily find the E-Bay add and post it here. The car was NO WHERE near as described or even CLOSLEY looked as good in person as it did in the add. BUT I bought it, KNOWING that it may need things. When it landed, it was SO BAD...that it immediately went on a truck straight ot George Evans. It has been there since mid summer and probably another 3 months. It is approaching $75K in costs. Will it be magnificent when done, YES, will I get my money back out of it? We will see...thats the business I am in, some you win, some you dont. USE common sense, do YOU REALLY think the car at "Bobs" BIN price of $95K was a GREAT car to begin with..HECK NO..I knew it and he knew it. If he did not want to sell it to me, he would not have signed a PO, accepted my wire, mailed the title, put the car on a truck and waive goodbye to it as it left his house. He knew what he was selling and I knew what I was buying. Sorry you were not abloe to buy it quick enough, but when its done and ITS correct and a great car, I can offer it to you first if you wish.

I, as many others DO recall the thread on L*** that was delited AFTER a threatning letter from your speed dial Lawyer to the owners of the forum had it removed. Does not mean your Lawyer or you were correct, NO, just means sometimes it is NOT worth responding to a "Lawyer" that has form letters..just easier to erase it and move on. I as well recall the MULTIPLE phone calls I had with you and your wife in reagrds to the car. I told you multiple times I WOULD not pay the money they were asking, that my MAX buy figure was $50K at the time. After several weeks back and forth, you PROUDLY called me and said you bought it at $60K!! Period!! And if that is an issue for you, for the record and your "Lawyer" my have me served at location is as follows:

CATS EXOTICS 17410 Ash Way Lynnwood, WA 98037

As far as the car you have now being titled to your son?? I would like to see a curent copy of the title/registration posted here. BECUASE if you did in fact TITLE it directly to him, not a trust fund lsiting or a surviorship listing, then it is in violation of multiple laws. You better REAL QUICK change it. If GOD FORBID you have an accident with it, your Insurance company will easily walk away from a pay out as the "Real Property" is not legal to an under the age of 18 "owner of record". I want charge you for that advice.

The only question I have..as I have never heard the term before, is:

What is a "Burn Handel" ??

This is a topic we really should be discussing and should move on to.

Sometimes. sadly, yes, the restorer may move to require more funds if it's a 700k car instead of a 250k car. I think the labor "rate" will stay the same but, surprise, ;) more hours will be required.
IMO, it should not IF the work is similar.

Well I dont want to waste people's time too much with bickering, I'm simply establishing that the person who keeps bashing on this red DD for sale is the same person who bashed his own car before buying it. And you will see TripleX bashing more people and more cars in the future, so watch out for this guy. If you're selling a car, he's not the first guy you'd want to invite for a viewing.

Here's the thread on Ltalk. Yes it exists. Took me 3 minutes to bring it up.

    https://web.archive.org/web/20091002024225/http://www.**********************/vbforum/f43/1984-5000s-w-17-000km-i-need-sell-11693/index2.html

The "Fairlady-Z" posts are from triple-X.

I think we all remember it. The end of the thread had pictures of the entire family with the car.

I have not said one thing positive or negative about the red 84 car w gottis. I've never seen it so I have no opinion. That was never the issue.

I've done no name calling, I'm just stating the facts.

The fact is, this guy is right there in black and white saying the car is worth mid 50s. Now he's here saying it's worth 300K. This is the Countach Value thread so that is on-topic.

I've been called a "bozo" a "newbie," and the guy has denied that the Ltalk thread exists over and over. He tries to change the subject, challenges me to a race, tells me his son is the owner (who cares?), claims my profile is a fake, asks if I own a Countach over and over. Anything to distract us. Clearly he doesn't want his behavior observed. That's why he threatened to sue Ltalk if they don't take it down, and that's why he's attacking my credibility. My friends on this forum know who I am what kind of car I drive, so there's no need to prove anything to anyone else.

I have an agenda on the DD? Please.

    Look at what others posted.

I'm not the only one that's pointing out things on this car.

The items I'm pointing out are minor compared to what others are pointing out.

I never ONCE said check the VIN number. I only pointed out to look at the sills the missing hex screws and a couple other MINOR things that I saw that were not correct.

I don't know what the big deal is about my car having Gotti rims when I have a set of original dated rims and tires sitting in my closet.

Even if I had the original rims and tires on the car I would have sourced out a set of acceptable rims to put on my car so I could save the originals for show.

In fact I spent quite a bit of $ refreshing the Gottis and putting on a brand new set of P7's because I actually like them.

Like I said within a couple hours if that my car is back to 100% as I have EVERYTHING to make mine 100% the day I choose to put everything on.

Some of you guys act like you own my car.

    What about Walter Payton's car?

The issue you have is with me personally not my kid's car. You're just using my car as an excuse to pick a fight. Just admit it.

This guy was up all night last night into today. SAD.

Now show us your car. He wont answer if he has a Countach or not, because he doesnt have one.

Like I said the guys with no cars are always the ones with the big mouths.

Don't try to change the topic. You publicly bashed a car to get a better deal, then tried to conceal the evidence by threatening a lawsuit. Then you come on here telling us all it's worth 300k.

Everything else you're saying is an attempt to distract us from that.
