    Hiro F2008 in 1/12th scale!!!!!!

And the 1967 312 in 1/43rd. Tameo has also announced the same car in 1/43rd scale. Both companies are being foolish doing the same car in this day and age. Hiro had already done the R&D on the 312 so this one is Tameo's fault even if they did announce a few days before Hiro!!

    Why?

There are so many other Ferraris which haven't been covered yet. What a lost opportunity

I understand your point but how many sales would they get from an F1-86 or an F92A?

I'd settle on a 1/18 die-cast of a 126C2. Exoto announced one some time ago but it hasn't appeared, and their prices have gotten so outrageous, I'm not sure I could afford one anyway!

To me all the cars are equally valuable. I don't care whether they won championships or had a famous driver.

BTW: I have the F1-86 in 1:12 already

That 126C2 is exactly what the doctor ordered :)

Your doctor is late: this kit exists for about 20 years

    Originally protar then Revell

You know as well as I do the model manufacturers have to live in the real world and make what they think will sell not what the hardcore fan may want.

I am sure the Hiro 126 C2 will be great but also wish they had done something else not done before. The Protar C2 kit can be built very well with work.

Then why isn't there a single 1/12 kit of the 2007 Ferrari, the last one to win the real title?

C2 only won the consolation price and killed its star driver and mangled its #2 driver. Hardly a model that needs so much coverage.

It'll be interesting to see whether Hiro will bring liveries for Andretti and Tambay.

Yes they are very nice. You will have to break down and buy the 375 F1 kit when it comes out. You will be hooked. His castings and models are amazing. By the way, the Alfa's wheels/tires are completely different than any of the other wheels sets he has done. I am looking forward to him doing the 375 F1 as those wires could be used on most of the early 1950's F1 cars.

I will post photos of the FPPM Vanwall I did for Ferrari Expo on the other thread. I modified it to be VW5 from SPA 1958.
