Maybe someone will buy it & put a Fiero body on it & put it out of its misery.

That's a bit unfortunate. It looks like a kit car.

$165k? Why wouldn't you buy a 100 point E-Type and have money left for a new Harley?

Definitely not the best use of money.

The front either has a clam-shell hood or fully pulls off. I wonder why there isn't a picture if that. The dash looks cheesy with that wood.

Fantasy Junction is a well regarded place, and I believe they represent cars well.

This just seems an odd place for a car like this. Barrett-Jackson seems like a better venue.

I kept scrolling down, figuring that the next pic would present a good angle..... but noooooo ........ It just kept getting worse......
I may be in therapy for a while.

I agree. It seems strange that they would get involved with this sort of vehicle. Plus, as John mentioned above, there are a lot of nice vehicles one could have for $165K that do not look like they belong under a big top with a clown behind the wheel.

To answer the title question: Yes!

It looks a bit like a Jensen Healy, but a lot worse. There are no good angles. Trying to be an optimist, I will point out that the radio appears to be correct :)

And the dash makes the car undrivable - they made the mistake of leaving the shifter in one of the forward gear positions for 2 of the pictures, and it looks like you'd bust your knuckles every time you shifted into 2nd or 4th!

The straight-on shot of the rear (image 11) is arguably the worst angle. The left side seems bigger than the right, but the much larger offense is that the shape is basically just an oval. I'm not sure how it's possible to think that an oval would be an aesthetically pleasing shape.

It looks like they spent considerable time and money to make this, but they didn't have a design worked out. So much of it is straight lines and fixed radius curves, so maybe they just didn't have the skills to create complex curves that would make the body shape more interesting.

I can't help but admire anyone that has the skills and perseverance to create a one-off body on their own, but it's too bad this one misses the mark on design. Hopefully this was created from a wreck rather than destroying an original car.

I got this on FJ's email the other day. At first I thought it was a joke.

I'd really like to know who "designed" this, and who built it. Come on, FJ. Who gets the "credit"? I don't think I've ever seen an uglier body on a Ferrari chassis. It has 0 redemptive qualities. The price? What do those guys smoke in Emeryville?

goodgod; the dash has the build quality of a 1960s Lotus.

this poor thing is dying to have the entire body removed and a do-over. The underside is gorgeous and everything appears to have been rebuilt - a great starting place for a new project. But for about half of the current asking price. It also must be pretty loud - the stock car had twice the number of mufflers.

To the extent I can tolerate cannibalizing a real Ferrari for anything else, I have always liked this rebuild - allegedly commission by Sir Bamford - on the same chassis/motor. Ferrari-like without trying to clone anything . . .

That is a lovely looking car and might justifiably be worth $165K. Unfortunately, Fantasy Junction is asking this for something that looks like an $8K Nissan Z car based abomination...
